Looks like a big day of basketball...with some very interesting local matchups!!!
Re: BEAST OF THE SOUTHEAST SCHEDULE
... Awesome!!! thanks Peake Power ... I was not able to make the trip last year due to my health BUT I'm more than looking forward to heading to the river this season ... I agree - some excellent hoops to look forward to - that first matchup with what should be a very good Lucasville Valley squad led by Blake Yates ... Waverly with Jake Kretzer ... Eastern Brown returns 4/5 starters from last season when offensive output was scarce - this season? I look for Coach Buecler's troops to pick it up at the offensive end... and then there is Coach Davis & the 'Peake - LeMaster & Co. should be outstanding AGAIN ...
... AND above all the folks at Chesapeake are great hosts!!! an excellent tournament that goes to an even better cause - providing college scholarships for ALL of the senior players - it doesn't get any better than that in my book ... I can't stop without mentioning THE BEST hospitality room ANYWHERE!!! LOL ... 2 years ago I had a MEAL of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, salad, homemade apple pie ... Coach Davis!!! I'm thinking that maybe 2 tourneys would be good - one before Christmas and THEN the January get together #justsayin LOL ...
... bottom line - Great hoops, great people, great cause, great tournament ...

pfloyd, glad you are doing better. I will reserve a ticket for you and take care of the cost. I am ready for basketball to start but we still have football with a playoff game with St Clairsville on Sat. GO PEAKE
Re: BEAST OF THE SOUTHEAST SCHEDULE
... peake71 - thank you!!! I will make sure I purchase a T-shirt or make a donation to the "tournament" - it's a great "cause" and I DO want to give my support ... BEST OF LUCK to the 'Peake on the gridiron this weekend !!!

Re: BEAST OF THE SOUTHEAST SCHEDULE
Good luck Peake...St Clairsville is a very solid football team and pose quite a challenge

Hopefully the weather will cooperate for this. Looks like a great schedule. I am a VC fan, but I am really looking forward to seeing Chesapeake. Love me some HS basketball

pfloyd,
Which of the teams on the slate have you seen so far and which teams will you be getting your first glimpse of for the season?

Re: BEAST OF THE SOUTHEAST SCHEDULE
... the only teams I have not seen so far this season are South Webster, Eastern Brown and that "foreign" team Russell,KY ... I have seen everyone else at least once with Athens twice, Lucasville Valley twice, Waverly twice, Vinton County 3 times, Chesapeake, South Point, Fairland once each ... this is a great field of teams to sit and watch for an entire afternoon/evening ... really want to eye ball Eastern Brown this season - I had picked them in my preseason Elite 8 => they are playing some really good basketball right now out of the SHL ... the Jeeps is one of those teams that unless they make an appearance at the Convo in one of the holiday get togethers I don't get to see until the post season - it will be nice to see the SW boyz as well ...
