The losses are to 2 teams who are known for football and haven't had good basketball teams since Kennedy was president. Of course you know where I'm going with this, why aren't these two on the football schedule ? Travel, economics - I don't think so ;-)

I'VE PUT SOME PHOTOS OF THE GAME UP ON trivalleyconference.com ... The pics are kind of spread out a little on the site.

Some are on the front page: http://trivalleyconference.com/

More on the NY team page: http://trivalleyconference.com/Nelsonville-York.html

A couple on the photos page: http://trivalleyconference.com/Blogs.html

Looks like the local boys had the officiating duties. Doesn't the bald headed ref teach at Nelsonville with Kline? I really thought Nelsonville would start of the season much quicker. Hopefully they find success soon. Good luck to the Buckeyes.

Yes he does. Even with local refs, Kline and the boys couldn't pull out the win. I have a great idea, let's get Cox some more shots. Run a set play or two or three or four or..... for him. Wow. JV is 2-0 varsity is 0-2. Fans that have no connection to the team typically leave after the JV games. Sad time for NY Boys basketball. Let's hope they can find a couple wins by this weekend.

Inmates running the asylum.

Cox averaging 25 thru 2. Just thought I should mention that.

Run more plays for Cox? That would cut someone else out. Cox is a player run it all through him. Good point Butterfingers.

Kline had a sweet dunk. I mean he threw it down hard!

Kline may have thrown down a dunk but looks like NY got thrown down by 2 weak teams. As I said same old same old for the Bucks this year. Good talent poorly coached.

As a life long resident of the Nelsonville community and considering myself as a true "Buckeye" fan ...I have to throw out an apology to the Amanda Clearcreek basketball program and community. The deck was definitely stacked against you last night due to the fact that 2 of the 3 officials of the varsity basketball game were hometown people. Furthermore, the bald headed official is a paid employee of the Nelsonville-York District (teacher at N-Y Middle School). The practice of hiring hometown officials for Jr. High, Freshman and reserve games is completely acceptable. However, I feel it is unacceptable to have hometown officials for varsity contests. This is an embarrassment to our school. I would like some feedback on this. Do other schools hire hometown officials for varsity games on a regular basis? I have seen this several times in the past couple of years at N-Y H. S. Amanda was able to overcome and walked away with a victory.

Furthermore, what's that old saying: "Go with your first instinct". The N-Y school board's first and second instinct was to make a change in the Head Basketball coaching position. But, after being voted down twice, at the third board meeting the thinking changed and the N-Y coach was re-hired. Know one knows what promises were made when he contacted board members but nothing has changed. We are still playing the same "helter skelter " style of basketball we have been playing under the present coach's tenure(12 yrs.). I feel for the boys in the Basketball program.

It was a joke. He missed a dunk.

My fault moonshine. Your saying hit the nail on the head.

joe mama are you for real, i for one do not see what it matters for non league games!
and if you know anything you will not see these guys doing league games for thier home school!
if more people had the balls to referee games then maybe those that do will not be in such demand!

Are they really that talented or are all of you blinded by your dislike for the coach?

I was at the game last night and saw no advantage what-so-ever toward NY ... If anything, it was the other way around ... Just an observation from afar.
