Minford by 20-25. Peebles played Clay at the beginning of the summer and beat them by like 54. They could have been missing some players and it was just a scrimmage but based on watching both play I have to say Minford wins this one pretty easily.

So much for those 30 and 40 point predictions. lol

You guys play the lottery too?

It's early in the season and most teams will still be working out the kinks.

Falcons played well in many aspects of the game. I look for Minford to only improve, and this will begin with playing well at Valley friday.

Wow , Minford must not have brought the same effort OR played near as well as they did at preview night... or Clay played very poor at previews.. I didn't think this game had any shot to be within 20 points. MD

I think clay could have pulled this one out, but with only 3 boys that can handle the ball that puts them in a rough spot. Their big guy is to soft and afraid to post up, and when they miss balls that are bounced or thrown right to them, that results in multiple turn overs. I don't think they realize that they are as big or bigger then some of the boys their going up against. They are a VERY young team, with 3 seniors that are able to play, 4th one is out for season due to an injury, the starting point guard and 5 guy are both soph. their 2 other big guys they have are both juniors, 1 of them seeing some playing time, the other not enough. Once they get their nerves out of the way and learn they can score just as well as the team their against, they'll be ok!
Personally I think Minford boys came in thinking it was gonna be an easy game and almost realized to late that they needed to step it up.
Both teams seemed to have fun and other then the bad calls that went both ways, it was a really exciting game to watch. Thank you Minford for showing us a warm welcome! Good Luck this season! Ya'll have a good group of boys.
