Has anyone heard if the game will be on for tonight? I know Federal at Warren and Eastern at Meigs has been

I didn't understand when Alex was up by about 17 with 4 to go in the third quarter they took all but one starter out until the end of the quarter and Athens got back under double digits. Good for dogs but still didn't understand it.

Not much flow to the game. I thought the game was there for the stealing for Athens in the last 4 minutes, they just could not get over the hump. Both teams looked as if they had been out of school all week with only 1 practice. In the end, Alexander was just better defensively. After Athens got off to the 11-1 start, Alexander went on a run that netted layup after layup.
Alex jv wins big, and the Athens freshmen rolled over the Spartans.
Nice to see a big crowd at the game, but the fans were pretty quiet also.
Good luck to the Bulldogs - we will be rooting for you to beat VC.

Why would you do that? We weren't rooting for you to lose against Athens.

Until Athens is taught how to play defense and stop worrying about running up the floor to shot the ball they will never in my opinion be above 500 in any league. You win with defense period and they have none. I really don't see many offensive sets.

Just wanted to make a suggestion to the Athens High School AD or whomever. At the game on Saturday, up until the varsity game, people sat wherever they wanted but once the varsity game was to start, a large group of people were moved because the (so called) Athens student section was there. If this is the student section then it should clearly be marked as reserved for student section. I even watched as they made Mr. McAfee move from the seat he had been sitting in for 2 games. Mark your student section off so this doesn't happen again Mr. Meeks. Making people move from seats they had been in for 2 games is uncalled for. We all paid the same amount of money to watch the games and shouldn't be made to move from our seats. I was not in the seats that had to move but couldn't see all of the court after the Athens kids came to their "student section" MARK IT!!

I also would like to add something to what Sports Mom said. I noticed during the game that Athens had 3 or 4 empty chairs where their team bench was. However, the Alexander bench was 3 chairs short. The players that do not dress because of injury had to stand in the student section.
