Ironton vs South Point 2/28

Post by ohbuckeye2 »

Ironton vs South Point at Jackson 2/28 tip is set for 8:00pm

#3 Ironton beat #14 Crooksville 54-40
#6 South Point beat #11 Federal Hocking 60-55

I hope everyone is healthy and ready to go for this game.

Ironton needs to get over that Flu bug.

I hope South Points Chase Krazenberg is ok after getting hurt in the final minutes of the Federal Hocking game.

Ironton will need to play a lot better Saturday. If they do play better they should be ok, but if they don't it could be a long night, and may be sent home. I hope they get a couple good days of practice in and take care of business!!!! GO TIGERS!!!

i wasnt there but listened on the radio to the sp/fh game. Sounded like SP turned it on defensively in the second half. They will need to do that for four quarters against I-town. Guys will certainly have to step up for South Point even if Kratz is able to go you gotta believe he wont be 100%, but knowing Kratz if hes able he'll be in the lineup, kids fearless.

I havent seen Ironton play since the big classic they held against a weak Russell team, so i really don't know much about them other than they are very athletic but sounds like Crooksville gave em all they wanted for 3 quarters or so.

Good luck to the Point, Get well Kratz!

Yes. It would take a natural disaster to cancel tournament games. Individual schools have no say in these matters usually.

Should be a great game this saturday. South Point will be looking for revenge from last years tourny when I-Town beat SP in the first round and ruined their perfect record. The pointers will have to step up big, their gonna have to start off early and keep the momentum goin through the entire game the way they did the 2nd half against FH.

good luck pointers

Case in point: the 2003 Feb ice storm. Games were officially cancelled one weekend because of travel/road conditions. OHSAA then announced a new schedule once the roads improved, but were promptly informed that many of the host sites were still without electricity and could not possibly hold games!
The tournament schedule was seriously discombobulated that year, but it took a severe geographically widespread and long term weather event to undo it!

Now if we let that information out we won't even be able to get in the door for an hour. { DAKOTA'S } is not a secret though, and very good food

Just heard the word on kratz and he is forsure out for the rest of the tourny if south point would win. I was told he tore his ACL, sprained his MCL, and I beleieve sprained a muscle in his calf. Either way he is out forsure and now the pointers will have to step up big time without him

I think the Pointers can rise to the occasion and put a win up. Needs to be a total team effort but it can be done! Get well Chase!

Sad to hear for Kratz, keep your head up man you had a heck of a career, word of advice though do it right, rehab it the right way no doubt in my mind you can play at the next level. Just work hard and get well.

I still do believe South Point can compete in this game and give Ironton all they want. I'm guessing Fletch will go to the 1 and Winkler will start now, it just lessens the bench a bit without the fire power of Winkler come off of it. No doubt they'll miss Kratz he was one of the best ballhandlers and overall leaders in this area IMO, but I think if they play 100% the whole game they can pull out a W.

Good Luck guys bring home a sectional title.

I hate to hear that, sad to see someone get hurt like that.
Hope for a speedy recovery for the young man.
