What a great honor for this young man!!! He led the 23-1 Green Devils through a great season!!! I don't think anyone who was at the Convo last Wednesday will forget Kraig putting his team on his shoulders and leading a great comeback that fell just a few inches short against a very, very good Piketon team.

Kraig is a great young man that I look forward to watching at the next level!!!

Congratulations to Kraig Unger on this honor. It was a pleasure to watch him play basketball the last few years. Where is he planning on playing at in college?

This is not 100% by any means.....However I heard he was headed to Shawnee.

I thought that Portsmouth's Anthony Williams was deserving of at least 3rd team.......being named special mention was nice, but not high enough in my opinion. He averaged 18 PPG and 12 RPG, and was consistently good all year.

He can flat out shoot the rock!! I really enjoyed watching him last week.

I had the enjoyment of watching Unger play every tournament game he played in this season for the Green Devils, and make no mistake about it, this young man is legit. I can see him making an IMMEDIATE impact. I hope the word im hearing is true, and he ends up at SSU.

Agree with you Trojan. If he was playing in the SOC and you guys won 15 games he would have a good chance of making 3rd team.

Congratulations to a very deserving young man...he was scary good down the stretch vs. the Streaks!

Coach Hamilton (SSU) will be getting a good player. I can see him getting playing time as a freshman. Unger will get to play for a good coach.

He's definitely a shooter, just kept nailing big buckets in the comeback attempt against Piketon when they looked dead in the water down by 10 and against Zane Trace before that. That kid is quite a talent and if he goes to Shawnee State that will be a good talent to build around at that level.

congrats to Kraig ... watched him play against Chessy early in the season at the Convo and he put on a show much like you guys have talked about in his tourney games ... hes without a doubt a very good player, best of luck to him at the next level

At the North Adams Banquet last night, It was announced that the Ohio High School Basketball Coaches named Kraig Division III State Player of the Year!!!

Coach Dave Young was named by his peers as D-III State Coach of the Year as well!!!

Congrats to both!!



Kraig will be playing in the Ohio North-South game on Sunday April 19th at Capital University as well as the Ohio-Kentucky All Star game on April 11th at Thomas Moore College.

Well deserved and a big congratulations to Kraig.
