Piketon...ZT will battle....the league will have some surprises and some upsets. Westfall is a mystery team...did they get any basketball players from Grove City? Unioto will be much improved, Huntington will be scrappy, Paint Valley will be better than most think, Southeastern and Adena really loss a lot of experience. Being a Redstreak fan...I will pick Piketon to win it!

Zane Trace will be strong, but in the end the size and athleticism of Piketon will likely lead them to the title.

Ummmm I would say that making up for Smith and Brabsons 40 points and 15 rebs. will be interesting. Also, Helton's leadership and working man's play will be missed.

kickinurz! you are da man!!! absolutely right about Friday night's menu - outstanding!!! the floyd will be in the stands once again to see the action - Logan doesn't get started in the regular season until the following week soooooo there is NO PLACE better to be than at the ZT Tip Off event for early season hoops ... the folks there do it right, and treat us cheap seat old guys well ... one of those "must see" Tip Offs every year ... anytime you can see Coach Stiverson's crew it's a good thing , when they take on a " highly touted" Waverly Tiger team it's even better ... heck ALL of the teams - Hillsboro, Piketon, ZT, LE and Waverly are right at the top of my elite group of teams to start the season - great chance to see what each brings to the court " -some firsthand" comparison shopping it is - will be using up a WHOLE 'lotta napkins during the Friday night action LOL ... Saturday? last year was Coach Eric Evans' first as the head man at Round Town - he IS going to be one of the best court side in Southern Ohio ... knows the game, relates well to the players, knows what it takes to win - fundamentals/defense AND he knows how to coach big men , give him a couple seasons to get HIS "program" in place , good things will come out of Circleville in basketball ... Lucasville Valley taking on Court House to finish the night should be a good one as well - the Indians have the horses to once again set their eyes on a return trip to the Convo in the second season ... I'm getting excited just posting kickinurz' LOL ... as always the ZT get together is THE way to start any hoops season - 2009-10's version looks to be no different ...

... have picked up some good "stuff" on the forecasted #3 team in the SVC this season - Unioto ... the boyz from U could be and definitely look to be THE turn around team from last season ... last season the Shermans finished at 1-20 ... all roads point UP for Unioto this season as U returns 6 of their top 8 players , throw in a 6-2 transfer from Southeastern Devin Williard (DW is the 2nd returning scorer in the SVC) ... add to the mix junior Corbin Hill's return to the team after a year away from hoops ... junior Christian Dunkle will suit up again after suffering a season ending injury last year ...
... probable starters for U include:
* So. Cole Murray (5-6)
* Jr. Christian Dunkle (5-11)
* Jr. Brick Davis (6-2)
* Sr. Devin Williard (6-2) or So Andrew Warner (6-4)
* Sr. Quentin Detillion (6-6)

... depth will be there for the Sherman's along with bench size (6-4) Fr. Chase Detillion, (6-5) Jr. Brandon Atwood, (6-6) Sr. Shane Maier ... throw in jr guards Corbin Hill and Cody Strange both at 5-11 ... with the troops returning to go a few quality new faces the Shermans look to put anywhere from 12-15 "Ws" on their handy dandy pocket schedules ... the U is worth a look this season ...
