Minford will need to play some very good ball to win this one. If they can get some points off turnovers early I think they have a chance. If they get down a lot though I'm not sure they can score enough to get back in it.

Wow Minford must have played lights out. Tough loss, but it's somethin to learn from. Congrats to the Oaks, and Falcons, keep your head up...

The Falcons played an extremely tough game tonight and just came a up a little short in OT. Hat's off to the team for playing very good team ball. I said it before and I stick by it, with the athletes Minford has they can play with anyone on any night. It was good to see "The Flock" back in action too, the team will need them this year to always have their backs home and away games. Minford just needs to look at the positives from this game and move forward. As the season goes on I look for the Falcons to make some noise, maybe even be a dark horse in the SOC, only time will tell...

On a side note, I was very dissapointed to see so many "fans" leaving with 4.6 left on the clock in OT. I rarely criticize fans because they do spend their hard earned money to watch the game, but after your team fights that hard and takes a very good team into overtime, we need to support them to the end. Lord forbid we have to sit in traffic for an extra 5 minutes after the game. The team played their hearts out the whole game, the least we can do is watch the whole game.

What a game in Minford tonight! Back and forth all game, with both teams playing tremendous defense. Oak Hill just made the extra defensive play at the end and did a good job of hitting their foul shots to secure the victory.

Minford left everything on the court and hopefully will take this as a positive. The kids played disciplined, smart basketball. The defense was outstanding, we just have to rebound better. Even though it was an L, Minford showed alot of promise.

Oak Hill is overated.

The Oaks definitely have some things to work on, but I don't see how you can say the reigning state champs are overrated!!

reigning state champs---yes. Same team as last season--- NO.

I beleive Minford upset Oak Hill last year didnt they? With that low scoring of an OT game sounds like both teams played great defense ...

I wouldn't say that they are overrated. They lost 3 seniors that were part of the top 6. Only 6 players last year saw consistent time on the floor during varsity games. They are without Drew Cannon because of injuries.

They will have to fight this year to win games, Every game will be a battle. They can't be overrated when everyone knows that on any night they could be beat.
