I haven't seen the Ironmen play but don't expect them to just roll over. Waverly is good, but Coach Jordan's Ironmen are very capable of winning this game. From a South Jackson Countian...GOOD LUCK IRONMEN!!

I can see Jackson pulling this one out especially if the game is in Jackson.

The game is Tuesday night @ 6:15 and will be played at Southeastern HS. Winner advances to play the Chillicother/Unioto winner on Friday @ 7:00

Should be a good match up. Both teams have shown signs of inconsistency. I hope the best of both teams show up and make it a whale of a game! Good luck Ironmen!

I heard a player from Jackson is close to 1000 points, can anyone clarify that for me and how many he needs to surpass that accomplishment? Thanks.

Trivium5,
Waverly's Harrison Martin (a Junior) is 59 shy of 1,000. He sat out games Friday and Saturday with an ankle injury and of course Waverly had two games cancelled because of weather in which he has no opportunity to add to his total. He would be well over 1,000 at this point but things happen.
As for the game, I too hope all the Tigers are healthy after Saturday nights hockey match.
Even in a loss, I think the Tigers can use that game as a spring board for the tournament. In two previous games without Martin the Tigers didn't look good. Saturday night was a different story. They came out with great intensity and played toe-to-toe with the Mighty Oaks.
Getting Martin back Tuesday will be huge but the Tigers finally proved they can play with him cheering them on from the bench.

I think Dylan Newsome(senior) from Jackson is about 15 points away from 1,000 points. Can anybody confirm this?

If Jackson gets hot and starts cashing the 3's than this could be a close game. I'm still taking Waverly in this one.

I've seen several different posts on hear about Dylan Newsome being very close to 1000pts but I haven't heard of anyone knowing his actual number. Does anyone actually know. I for one would love to see it. He is a terrific young man and it couldn't happen to a better kid!
Re: Waverly vs. Jackson Feb 23
Should be an interesting game. Obviously how Martin is doing for Waverly is a key.
Re: Waverly vs. Jackson Feb 23
sometimes the difference between a good tournament run and a bad one is a sprained ankle or other injury.

I believe hes 17 points away. But he is going to have Kevin Malone all over him all game.It would suck to be so close and have to put up with that for what might be your last game.It might be a big heart brake for this kid of jackson.
I say Waverly in this one and im sorry i dont think theres gonna be a great milestone in this game unless harrison plays and can score 50 somethin for his 1000.
