SHL Schedules, Results, and Standings 2010-11

All right, once again the teams of the Southern Hills will begin to pound the hardwood. It's been a long eight months of sunshine and shortsleeves; now we can finally get back to heating up our cars in the morning and enjoying some basketball. This year I'm hoping Mother Nature has the decency to keep the ice of the roads on Monday and Thursday nights.

SEOP's been lit up with predictions about who will carry away SHL titles, now it's time to put your predictions away and let the teams speak for themselves. Peebles, Manchester, Eastern and Ripley may be the squads to beat, but anything can happen in these southern hills. Your games:

Friday, December 3

Whiteoak 54
North Adams 69

Huntington 47
Lynchburg Clay 44
(@ ZT Tipoff Classic)

Clermont North Eastern 58
Manchester 67

Blanchester 44
Fayetteville 47

Southeastern Ross 49
Peebles 89

Fairfield 47
East Clinton 50

Saturday, December 4

West Union 32
Westfall 46
(@ ZT Tipoff Classic)

Eastern Brown 36
Albany Alexander 28
(@ ZT Tipoff Classic)

Fairfield 50
Vinton County 75
(@ ZT Tipoff Classic)

Paint Valley 65
North Adams 63

No league games played this week, and Ripley stays quiet with no games on the board. Here's a reminder that when December comes, everyone starts with zeroes:

Chitwood, your schedules are correct but the Lynchburg game on Dec.3 and the Fairfield game on Dec. 4 are both being played at the Zane Trace Tip Off Classic...thanks for all your hardwork and dedication, always enjoy reading your posts and updates!

I believe Peebles plays Southeastern Ross

....that makes far more sense

I'll guess:

Peebles by 31
Whiteoak by 12
Fairfield by 6
Huntington by 10
Manchester by 7

Eastern Brown by 2
Westfall by 9
North Adams by 3
Vinton Co by 4

Good Luck to all SHL teams.

Cant wait for this season to start up!

Friday
Peebles by 30....Game is at Peebles and the Indians should have the advantage at every position.
Whiteoak by 15....If Caleb Harper and Drew Dollich dont play...could be a close one if they do.
Fairfield by 10....Mainly because I have no idea what East Clinton is returning from last year's 3 win team and Chris Cox is primed to have a big year.
Huntington by 15....Due to a loss of some great gaurds from last year's Mustang squad...Huntington should be a top 3 team in the SVC.
Manchester by 15...Manchester's combo of size and speed should be too much for a Seth Varnerless CNE squad.

Saturday
Eastern by 10.....If the Warriors can contain Alexander's big man(6'8" Hart) things should go well for them.
Westfall by 20...Should be slightly lower than this but Westfall's big (6'7" Zak Smith) gives the mustangs a big advantage over a significantly smaller WU team.
Paint Valley by 5....Again if everyone plays it could go the other way....I was impressed with PV's big man last year when Peebles played them.
Vinton County by 15....The Vikings are the favorite this season in the TVC and their gaurd play might cause some problems for the relatively young Lion backcourt.

Drew has been struggling with illness. Haven't heard anything about Harper being hurt.

According to "crack":

Huntington 47
Lynchburg Clay 44

The Mustangs drop a close one to Huntington.

Manchester came from behind to defeat CNE 67-58. Blevins struggled early on as the Rockets led Manchester at halftime and the 3rd quarter. Combs had around 30 points and Blevins had 15 I believe.

Apologies to The Fayetteville faithful; I left their Blanchester game off the schedule. Corrected.

Fayetteville over Blanchester, 47-44. So far, a near perfect night for the Southern Hills.

89-49. Andy had 29, tyler had 19, and Blake had 17. Peebles JV won big and the freshman team lost.
