1. Eastern Brown
2. Piketon or Peebles
3. Peebles or Piketon
4. Huntington or North Adams
5. North Adams or Huntington
6. Paint Valley
7. Westfall
8. Lynchburg
9. Northwest
10. Adena
11. West Union

* The top three will depend on records prior to draw. Piketon will have a tough schedule between now and then playing arch rival Huntington, Portsmouth, Peebles, Zane Trace and @Columbus Horizon, @ Southeastern, @ Unioto. Eastern is in the drivers seat for #1 seed.

I think Piketon and Peebles have the resume to prove they are the 2 top teams in this sectional. Piketon has played a very tuff schedual and won some big games and Peebles has as well I thought it was very gutsy for them to play Afrocentric at Ironton.

Head to head matchup with Piketon and Peebles will help sort out the top 3 if it is before the draw?

No...it will be the weekend after the draw. Both will have common opponents, but usually the coaches go strictly by records in the Waverly Sectional. Jackson and Athens Sectional will go against the grain every now and then. But at Waverly the coaches seem to always place teams by records. One of my biggest criticisms of Piketon's scheduling since Lisath took over, is he refuses to play a soft non-league schedule. Which is fine until tournament time. JMO

Didn't North Adams slaughter Peebles? And they have similar records (7-3 vs 7-4) so I'd put NA at the 3 over Peebles. But, there's a ton of time til the draw and I'm sure they play again before it.

And now I'll retract that statement after Fairfield knocks off North Adams tonight.

Piketons playing very good basketball right now look for them to move into the 1 seed before it is over

1. Eastern by a little
2. Piketon by a lot

3-5 Peebles, North Adams Huntington

Westfall is coming on and would be a tough matchup opposite Peebles or North Adams as Coach Carson knows a lot about how each team works.

What are Piketon's best wins

They hammered Portsmouth, won at Valley, Zane Trace...what else I know they won some close ones early on. Did they beat Fairland?

I'm wanting to say Piketon beat Fairland by 30. I think the score was 82-52. They lost to Vinton Co. 62-60 and beat Paint Valley last night 80-42.

Apples, you are probably right, I was going off of memory which isnt what it used to be! lol I cant say that Piketon has a bad loss to date. They had a chance to win every game, was leading Eastern by 10 points with right at 2 minutes to go, before the Eagles made 3 3's and 2 ft's to Piketons nothing to take the win. Vinton was disapointing, they were very physical with Piketon and the Streaks didnt respond. The Unioto loss at home without Farmer isnt a bad loss either. Piketon is starting to hit their groove on both ends of the floor now, they still have work to do in transition on the press and rebounding, but those are getting better as well.

Yeah....I thought I remembered then hammering Fairland.

Right now I can't say Piketon has better wins than EB....but I believe it's close, Piketon is really rolling and they have the 4th highest ceiling in the district IMO.

The Chef believes the #1 seed will come down to Piketon and Eastern Brown with the Streaks getting the nod.

It's very tight. Anything close and the SVC has the numbers and it's Jeff's last year....

It's far more important to avoid the Jackson sectional teams.....so the 2 may be much better than the 1, though the Athens sectional is improved from last year.

The #1 seed bracket Waverly gets the #4 seed bracket Athens first round of district play, that is the draw you want right there. The next best IMO is the #3 Waverly gets the #2 Athens. Now, it wont be easy, but it would be easier than the 2 or 3 Jackson seed. You dont want the #4 bracket, it gets the Jackson #1 spot! lol

The #2 Waverly gets the #3 Jackson, which will probably be Valley, Oak Hill or Minford, that is a tough out.

I can agree with that. However, the top 3 at Athens aren't cake walks this year ...

Federal Hocking (12-3)
Zane Trace (10-3)
Nelsonville-York (11-4)

By know means are they easy. Just comparing the Waverly/Athens to Jackson, that would be the matchups I would want! lol
