The Alexander Hoops Committee has expanded the Ohio River Classic to 2 days. It will be held at Marietta College Fenton Court on December 28 & 29,2012. It will feature 8 boys and 3 girls games.
Now you can enjoy an evening and a full day of high school basketball.

Friday December 28,2012 Cost Adults $5 Students $3

Wow, Swampfox, that is a great line up, both days. Are you having anything over at the Convo this year? Also, where is the parking at Marietta now that they've built all of those new dorms and wiped out the parking there off of Seventh street? I'd really like to come and catch some of these games, but now I have no idea where to park. Can you shed some light on this?

Unfortunately, the Convo and all Division 1 Courts are off limits with the latest NCAA ruling. The information I get is the NCAA believes it is a recruting advantage to hold these events at Division 1 schools. I guess it is not an advantage to hold districts and regional tournaments at some of these locations. Maybe money talks.

Thanks for the TVC promotion. The tournament will have the Athens boys, Federal Hocking boys Eastern boys and girls as well as both Alexander teams.

Well, that is unfortunate Swampfox. I always enjoyed attending the events at the Convo. I'll do my darndest to make it up to Marietta this year. It is a nice venue as well, and honestly, it is almost the exact same distance from my house as the Convo, so no complaints from me. :122245

EVERY TOURNEY/CLASSIC/SHOWCASE during the regular season should have a person who does that - be responsible for media relations.
