Washington State Community College makes history with the school's first ever victory. The schools previous two seasons ended without any victories. First year Head Coach Josh Derry, Assistant James Brace, and Assistant Alan Carroll trying to make the difference in the program. Using local kids the team got their first win in just their second game with a 98-91 victory over Kent State Tuscaras. I just wanted to share the roster with everyone because you definitely will remember the names of these previous high school stars.

Trevor White-Ironton
Duke Edwards-Portsmouth
Dion McKinley-Portsmouth
Cory Haner-South Gallia
Danny Matney-South Gallia
Justus Ousley-Wellston
Marcus Frazier-River Valley
Chris Baker-Hammond County HS
Michael Riggins-Parkersburg South

We appreciate it ... We are heading to Louisville, Kentucky for two games this weekend. We are sure to compete against a couple of very quality teams.

You can find our team schedule on our website at www.leaguelineup.com/wsccbasketball --- this is our temporary website setup until we launch the one within the school's page.

If anyone is looking for tax write-offs, we are always accepting donations [WSCC is 501(c)3] - individuals or businesses! It takes a lot of money to keep things going, and we appreciate every single penny that comes in!

Also, a couple of very good local players are already set to commit to our program as soon as their seasons become final --- keep an eye out!
