Your thread topic kinda sounds harsh, but when the people who really know the teams - the coaches - did the rating during the seeding, they got it EXACTLY right, So the teams were not overrated OR underrated- they were rated just right

I believe both Warren and Athens are very good teams and play very hard. I don't believe they are overrated at all, I just think LE is putting it together at a good time and they proved to be the better team tonight. No slight against Athens or Warren who are very talented teams and deserve to be respected for their accomplishments this year.

This thread is stupid. With that said, my buddy who watched Warren last week and this week came away very unimpressed with the Warriors.

Neither were overrated. They were both outstanding teams who just ran into a better team to end their season. It happens to all but 4 teams each year.
Both were full of athletes and had multiple scoring threats. Each were well coached and played difficult schedules. Both were among the top 5 teams in SE Ohio and there is no shame in that at all.

Both Warren and Athens are outstanding basketball teams. This thread isn't necessary, it'd be nice if it was locked and/or removed.
Coach Maddox and his staff do a fantastic job to put Warren into district contention on a yearly basis. That is extremely tough to do.
Crap like this isn't what Logan Elm is all about. Win with class; lose with dignity.

… IF you have followed LE at all you KNOW that they are one of the most disciplined TEAMS you can find on a court ANYWHERE - they take on the demeanor of Coach Stiverson imo … you watch TEAM LE during a game - they walk away from "court issues", they NEVER question a call by an official - NEVER … the ball is handed over to the official … when a player goes down on the floor they are the first to offer a hand … Coach Stiverson TEAMS know how to win and know how to take loss - class all the way …
… overrated ? Athens? Warren? seriously ??? I was watching the awards presentation after the game tonight, a group of maybe 4 fans from ? - I don't know - were discussing a player for Warren - words such as overrated, I would never offer a scholarship , you get an idea as to where this conversation was going … personally there is NO high school player who deserves to be discussed in this way as they ALL leave everything they have on the floor every night - I KNOW, I SEE IT … to make a long story short - I butted into the conversation … I didn't say much to them but I ended the conversation by asking how many times they had had the opportunity to see the player they were discussing … their answer "just tonight" … it is amazing how some folks seem to be able to BE that "PRO SCOUT" in recognizing talent in only a 32 minute game … "seriously!??? … you can make those kinds of statements about a player in just a 32 minute sampling? … you folks are good - end of conversation …
… the same can be said about trying to determine "more overrated Athens or Warren " seriously !!!???? … end of conversation …

I watched a great exciting basketball game last night between two really good teams. I had to park about a half a mile away. I had to wait in a line for tickets that went to the bottom of the entrance ramp. I didn't see anything over rated I got my money's worth and more. I was definitely entertained the entire game. The atmosphere was great for this game. I only wish all high school basketball games could be this exciting! Warren was NOT overrated. When two good basketball teams play if one team is a little off than the other team is going to win. Athens was NOT overrated. They had played Warren tough everytime they played them. They ran into a red hot French this year and that was the difference in the game. Athens got beat by Warren last year in the regionals and I didn't hear anyone going on about that. This year they had to play them in the sectional, which was not their fault. What is different about this year and last? Other than the OHSAA screwing the SEO D2 teams? People who start threads like these are either really jealous of the teams and players or have no clue about the game. I am glad we had these teams in our area to watch. It makes basketball much more exciting. Good luck to Logan Elm the rest of the way.

I might also add, Logan Elm was not overrated, as some folks made claims of when the seeding info first hit the media. I think they proved that in this game, no matter how big the floor was, or who the refs were, or if one player got hot, or whatever the excuses may be. So maybe you are saying the people who said the seeding was garbage are jealous too, or is it they have no clue about the game?

Basketball courts come in all shapes and sizes with only perameters for dimensions. Many SE Ohio high schools have a 94' court.

Warren had the more talented players and more height. But, Logan Elm's coach was two jumps ahead of them, all night. Great coaching makes a big difference.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that a legal court for high school was '84 X '50. Since a lot of tournament games are on college courts, they are '94 X '50.

LE plays Watterson next. Athens took Akron Svsm to the wire. SVSM or Watterson will probably win state. So your logic is saying LE will beat Watterson. Good luck with that LE
all three are good teams. Athens and Warren just didn't want to play each other because its always been close(except the last game)
