Is this game scheduled for Sunday? And is the Burg/Fairland game back to back with this one?

This game will be a good one and a game many people have wanted to see. Portsmouth is more guard oriented while Valley has a more balanced attack. Too close to call in my book.

Scioto Co. will be well represented tomorrow with at least one team moving on to the regionals!

What time is the first game and who plays in it? Really haven't kept up with all of this this year.

If Portsmouth plays like they did tonight it's over for Valley.. Valley couldn't keep up with CG.

This will be a great game because this group of kids from Valley are winners.

I think Portsmouth was the best team in their division I watched today. You never know, but my money would go on Portsmouth tomorrow!!

Yeaaaaaahhh.....this the game southeastern ohio had wanted all year in D3. Should be a great one. Got to think Portsmouth will have trouble with Dunn underneath, so I gonna say Valley wins 58-54. Winner of this game gets to State.*

There is no doubt that Portsmouth played better yesterday. Will that matter today? Hard to say. I think the Indians thought that Coal Grove was going to quit when they got down 13, but they didn't and Valley had to crank it up to come back. If Valley loses today, it will be because Portsmouth plays better. I think this game will be 32 minutes of pure emotion with the best D3 or D4 crowd yet. I would say almost every basketball fan in Scioto county will be there today, and it should be loud. Allison and Oliver are going to get theirs. Sky is very good and Ky're is outstanding. It will come down to making sure the Trojans role players don't win it. 2 years ago, Lenny Collins and Jayln Carter (I feel that Carter was more of a role player until his senior year) lit Valley up and sent the Trojans to the regionals on their way to the Schott.

If I'm picking one key today, it will be on the glass. I think the team that rebounds wins it. Valley was awful on the boards yesterday and it almost ended their season. I think Valley learned a lesson and will make it happen today.

It's gonna be fun!

Valley 62
Portsmouth 59

I wouldn't be so quick to put the winner of this game in the State. Cols. Bishop Ready looks very athletic and you can never count out Burg, if they can get by Fairland.

I do think the winner of this game has the easier matchup in the regional against Martins Ferry.

Burg had a chance to win both games against Valley and gave Portsmouth all they wanted in that game. If Burg and Valley would meet it would be the third meeting and everyone knows its hard to beat one team three times in one season. Burg and Minford met three times in 95 with the third meeting being in the Regional final and Burg won that one and ended up playing for the title.

burg can't beat valley at anything. 3 straight losses in football, when was the last time burg beat valley at basketball?

Ouch! Anyway, my gut feeling is PHS in an instant classic. Can't lose either way! Good luck to both squads!

There is an internet stream on VSN Radio that's done by Valley High School.
