Thoughts on how they'll do with the new coach? And also thoughts on why there won't be a biddy league this year?

I don't know why there is no biddy league this year....curious as to why that is.
As far as the coach goes I'd say once they get use to a the new coaches style they will be fine.
From what I know of coach kearns he is big on fundamentals. That should serve us well. Still a pretty
Young team junior and sophomore dominant I think. Excited to watch them play.

Why doesn't Athens, Meigs, Vinton County, Nelsonville, Wellston have their youth leagues this year? They don't have them. Obviously something wasn't working with the old system. Kids are playing, just not in an in-house league.

CavsFan,
No idea where you got your facts, but Vinton County's youth program is alive and well.

Yes their youth league plays in the HVBL do they not? Alexander has always had an in-house league. They now have the same as all the other teams in the league.

Actually VC has a couple of teams that play in that league in addition to playing in VC's school league. Judge Bob Grillo still runs a very dynamic in house pee wee program that involves hundreds of kids from all over the county. It has been a vital part of Vinton County's success.

I think with easiness of their schedule they should win 14-15 games

My understanding is Jordan Hill has joined on as an assistant to coach Kearns. This can only be a good thing for the Spartans.

How did GAHS look in Wednesday's scrimmage?

GAHS seemed to be missing a few players. They got up and down the court, but lost every quarter to the Spartans.

Youre kidding right? youre talking about a guy that took a struggling rv program and completely destroyed it to the point they may never recover. Not to mention all the drama that went on there we read about here on preps. Alexander would have been wise to not hire him.

All I know, is that when Coach Hill was at RV they were very competitive with Alexander the past two seasons. This year it was a different story when Alex played RV.
Alexander is lucky to have Coach Hill on staff. Keep working those boys hard and moving in the right direction.

Update on last nights game: Jordan Mosley was very solid. Kyle Howard brought a real spark off the bench. The Spartans played 12 kids last night and really did not have any fall off when the subs came in. The best is yet to come for the Spartans.

2 head coaches on one bench is a good thing. The Spartans are looking pretty solid early on.
