Ryan Scott (Hillsboro)
Weston Baer (Meigs)
Vogelson-Lewis (Minford)
Lefty shooter McCormich? (Minford)
Beard (Chillicothe)
Kessler (North Adams)
Miller (Burg)
Ashbaugh (Whiteoak)

Wallis and Little aren’t slouches by any means

Some I haven’t seen this year but know they are excellent shooters:

Robertson (Waverly)
Myers (Logan)
Ruckel (Peebles)
Bryson Simmons (Fairfield)
Fraulini (Portsmouth)

Help me throw names on the list. Throw your opinions/input in.

Andrew Smith from Webster hasn’t missed a free throw this season in 10 games.

Also against Symmes Valley Zimmerman went 11/13 from the field with 7 threes for 31 points


Robertson though...

Germain, Ripley. Give him and opening and it's money from anywhere

Sexton from New Boston,don't let him breath or he will light you up.

Vaugn from Eastern Brown. He hits a streak and it is a beautiful thing.

Browning from Peebles gets very little credit because he's usually distributing the ball,but; he's the one I want with the ball the last couple of minutes of a close game.

Robertson though...

That’s where it’s tough some. I’ve seen most of my mentions 1x, maybe they were on fire that night and that performance/shooting not typical. I may have listed a few that others are like wth?

FG% is good but it’s definitely good to see and see several games to get a better idea. I mentioned Badgley for McClain....watched him first in 7th grade and that kid threw in everything and he was being very well guarded, next time I saw him I realized he wasn’t just good and lucky...kid can shoot. He showed it again in 8th grade. As a freshman I watched him twice and didn’t see it much at varsity level and diff size ball. This year he comes to town, tightly guarded and he hit some of the best shots I watched all year. He is a very good shooter....is he elite? Maybe, maybe not but he’s very good and I know it, others I listed were great shooters the night I saw them.

I will vote Badgley as the best looking shot. It’s perfect.

Thanks for representing the SHAC. Your comments about Browning are same thing for me with Wallis.

Blankenship from Chesapeake and Thomas from Fairland are arguably the top 2 spot shooters in SEO.

Poston from Fairfield Union is another outstanding shooter

There are nights like Tuesday night at Ripley where nothing is falling. Ruckel is gaining confidence within the Peebles offense and it showed against Ripley. Running off screens he came alive and brought the Indians back in very hostile territory. Often with defenders hanging off him. After Peebles finally got the lead in the fourth quarter,he was ice at the line for the finish.It was a great team game and Hunter did his part for 25 points.

Cochenour also lit us up, and many others too.

Your list is good. A few more I’d add are

Borders from Coal Grove
Truitt from Burg
Cochenour from Eastern Pike
Robertson from Waverly is probably the best in SEO at shooting off the dribble.

Chandler and Fuller from Piketon can light it up. Both have had multiple games where they’ve had 5+ 3’s in a game

Wyman from Westfall can flat light it up

Bryce Johnson from ZT

Beeler from Huntington

Newland and Grubb from Pv

Bennett from Adena

Gillum from SE

Yes, good mentions. Forgot Cochenhour too . No disagreement on Robertson comment.

Need some TVC mentions. Sheridan?

Willey from Fairfield very good off the dribble or spoting up. Can create his own shot from any where although kind of streaky .
Mills from Peebles,6'6" and growing. He was always a guard that could shoot. He is more of a spot up shooter and is very streaky ,but; his range is out there. He is subject to hit 3 or 4 threes in a row. Go cold and hit another 2 or 3. Can't wait till he learns to deal with his new size. Hes never seen a shot he didn't like. Coach Arey trying to rein him in to keep him under control. Very talented.

If you haven’t seen Ward from Logan Elm he can shoot it coming off screen and off dribble very well. One of the best shooters in the area

I have seen quite a few of some of the players that have been named, either this year or the past couple years. I have said that Wallis to me is one of the best point guards for his team, as well as being a great scorer. I have seen him play a lot more than I have 90% of the other players. I saw Robertson play 3 or 4 times last year, only 2 times this year so far. Health wise he was not right either game that I watched. ( Wish I could have seen last nights game} I hope that physically he is okay now, being he is only a sophomore, by the time he graduates, I doubt very much that he won't be included on any list that says Best Shooters. There are a lot of kids out there that are great shooters, but the fact is I don't get to see them that much.

Truitt from Burg is lights out from behind the arc. He tends to get hot, and then stay hot for the remainder of the game. Also has quite the range, shoots the deep deep ball well, probably better than a layup.
