Jackson (15-2) @ Vinton Co (10-4) 1/28
Jackson (15-2) @ Vinton Co (10-4) 1/28
Jackson will travel to McArthur for triple header action this coming Tuesday. The out of league rivals typically play a pretty tight game despite their records. VC is tough at home and Jackson has been tough on the road.
Coach Combs runs one of the top programs around and Coach Morrow and staff knows they’ll be ready...and so will the Ironmen. The Vikings beat win looks to be a dismantling of Miami Trace to start the season while Jackson comes in making a run at the #1 seed in the tournament. It won’t be easy. Hope to see 4 good quarters from the Ironmen and keep gaining steam for a nice tourney run.

Jackson should win by 15 but it’s at VC so you never know. Arbaugh can shoot the lights out

... as of today pfloyd is looking to be in McArthur for this one Tuesday night ... haven't touched bases with Coach Combs & his staff this season ! should be fun to watch from the Cheap Seats for sure ...

Jackson still hasn’t had that bad road loss. Vinton isn’t bad but Jackson should win this game, so it would be an upset.
Ironmen go cold and Vinton celebrates a big one. Vinton 66-64

Jackson has upset the Vikings in the past, when on paper, Vinton County was the better team. So....maybe the Vikings dish out a little payback?

A key thought to everyone familiar with this respectful rivalry.hawkeyepierce wrote: Mon Jan 27, 2020 9:40 am Jackson has upset the Vikings in the past, when on paper, Vinton County was the better team. So....maybe the Vikings dish out a little payback?

I know Coach Morrow respect the rivalry and the Vikings. He has scouted the Vikings at least four times that I know of, or I have seen him at our games on four different occasions with clipboard in hand.

I’ve seen Coach Combs at least twice. These coaches and assistants within these two teams really get out and watch other teams at every chance....and the preparation shown in the games is the great outcome of their diligent work.hawkeyepierce wrote: Mon Jan 27, 2020 10:58 am I know Coach Morrow respect the rivalry and the Vikings.
