First of 2 big games for Waverly this weekend. A big road victory for Oak Hill the first time around. But Robertson is fully healthy now and his scoring ability can’t be understated. What do you guys think?

I was leaning Oak Hill a week ago but I just can’t see Robertson letting this one get by him. He’s an elite scorer and OH will have a great game plan but Waverly is going to win this event. Minford about got them but they’ll bounce back big. They’ll want to show that Rd 1 was not indicative of their play.
Waverly 66
Oak Hill 52
Robertson will have his usual 30

If there's one guy that has Waverly's number..... it's Norm Persin.
If Oak Hill can win this game they still have a shot at a share of a league title IF Waverly can then beat Wheelersburg.
If Oak Hill loses this game, they have zero shot at a share of the league title.
If Waverly wins this game they set up a showdown to win the league outright with Wheelersburg in a week or so.

This game is HUGE for the top three teams and the biggest game Waverly has played in quite some time. Waverly won at Oak Hill last year so we’ll see if they can do it again.
I think Waverly’s BIGS must control the glass and a couple of them score 10+. If Robertson goes for 30+ Waverly wins. If he is held to around 20 a coupe other guys for Waverly will need to contribute 10-15.
Some comments last night in different games and held true especially at Waverly, how will the officiating be - call nothing like last night or call everything or somewhere in between. Which team adjusts to that may have the best chance.

Waverly big. I don’t think they are going to lose again for a good while. Trey was less than 50% last meeting and he’s going to want to prove himself not that he needs to. This one might not be to close unless Hammond can match Robertson’s scoring

Oak Hill had a kid (not sure of his name) that got hot in the second half at the game at Waverly. Really quick and high energy. Hit several threes. We'll have to find a way to contain him and Hammond.
I hear Oak Hill has a player back that did not play first time around because of an injury. Heard he had 18 points and 11 rebounds a couple games ago....Impressive. Waverly will have Stulley this go around and hopefully a healthy Robertson.
This should be a good one.

The teams that Oak Hill have struggled with this year are the ones that are taller than them in every position (Darn Welsh Heritage) and Waverly definitely can put some size on the floor if they want to. I see that being a big factor in this game

Oak hills number 10 was the highlight in the burg game. Burg game planned for Hammond and it was effective but that kid can shoot and drive to the basket. The problem for the oaks is offensive guard play and depth. Guard play is good but they can struggle against stronger defenses.
I think the oaks beat waverly. It’s a matchup problem. They don’t have anyone to check Hammond and the oak hill team can defend pretty well. For waverly to win they will need to push tempo and look for robertson to shoot early in the possession. Norm won’t let him get good looks off of sets.

I gotcha. I have close connections to the school and know that there are lots of rumors that it has been canceled. Just hasn’t been an official word come from school officials yet as far as I know.

I know they have officially canceled all the home activities during the time of the closing. No decision on the away stuff yet.

Lots of students and staff sick with the flu.

Several schools a have closed due to flu......
This does not help Waverly with seeding. Waverly’s best chance for good seeding is to play these games and win.

Agree. They don’t play these two games and I doubt they’ll get favorable seeding but who knows.
