Fairland has played Galia very tough at home last 5-7 years and have come out on top. I would expect the same tomorrow night with Fairland guard play being so good of late. Especially if Galia plays without their big man who twisted his ankle at south point Friday night then Fairland would own every advantage IMO. With him being such a high football recruit I doubt they take any chances but he may be ready.
Clary not dressed tonite. Fairland leads at half 26-21.
... In order for Gallia Academy to beat a "Fairland or Chesapeake" they HAVE TO control the tempo of the game, make it a 1/2 court affair - they definitely didn't do that last night without Clary in the lineup - they didn't have the inside option on offense, and they didn't have the big man in the middle to keep Fairland out of the paint ... they could run their offense, with all of the cuts to the rim etc. Coach Speed & Co. did exactly what they needed to do vs the bigger GAHS team ... I just finished watching the youtube video of the game ... the Thacker spin move was ridiculous !!! great move to get to the rim in the open court after the steal ... and AP is AP - one of the best ... love how he let's the game come to him, he doesn't seem to force anything, shooting the 3, getting to the rim, and passing out the dimes - my kind of player ... I'm impressed with Chase Allen - slid right into the starting spot, excellent shooter ... Coach Speed STILL has an excellent rotation even without Taylor ... they just know how to play the game - Dragon Style ... Defense, motion, 3's & dimes ...Dragon70 wrote: Tue Jan 25, 2022 8:33 pm 67-45 final. Dragons got a nice tuneup game to get prepared for the Peake Friday night. Galia missed Clary!!
