The official Division II - Alexander sectional thread

Pretty much most of the games from here on out at Alex are gonna be pretty big ... The top 2 seeds are not even going to be taking the floor Thursday night - yet - the combined record of the 4 teams playing will be 65-14 ... That is somewhat staggering when your talking 'first round games' and excluding the 1 & 2 seeds.

Question: Will one ticket get you in to see both games or do they clear the jym after the first game. Thanks.

I'm sure one gets you in ... I've never seen a gym cleared at sectional games.

(One thing to look out for ... over the years I have seen teams struggle when they go toward the basket with the open backround ... Maybe it was because the Alexander student section was in your face on the baseline - or maybe the open backround was the problem ... whatever the case is, its definitly been a factor from the games I have seen in Albany - and I have seen a ton!)

I like Warren over Sheridan but it will be close. Marietta down a couple players but should cover the spread against VC.

Getting ready to make the drive down will be tough to match the games from Thursday night but hopefully the games will be just as competitive. Looking forward to seeing Dawson and Marietta play. I will take Marietta by 15 Dawson and Brown are great players but Marietta lost 4 very good seniors from last years team they will need some girls to step up to make it back to regionals. Warren and Sheridan should be a great game. I thought Warren was one of the most athletic teams in the District last year and they have shown great improvement under their new coach. Sheridan has some nice athlete's as well and always plays a tough schedule that has them tournament ready.
