Tough loss for my Lady Devils. We are still very proud of you. You had a great season and certainly nothing to be ashamed of. Karli we are going to miss you. You have been a pleasure to watch good luck at Findly next year. I would also like to say good luck to the Lady Spartans against Oak Hill you girls really played hard.
Re: North Adams Lady Devils - Tournament Edition
Congrats on a fine season. Did you watch the Oak Hill girls today, if so how do they match up against Alexander?
Re: North Adams Lady Devils - Tournament Edition
Well, it was a great season for our Lady Devils this year! So many long droughts went away. We beat Eastern and Lynchburg at their home courts for the first time in a very long time. We won the SHL title for the first time in 24 years! We got back to back Sectional Championships for the first time in a while. It truly was a great season that I wish would not have ended today!
Karli: You truly have been an absolute joy to watch and coach for the past 5 years. Congratulations on a fantastic career!! You absolutely earned being named District 14 Player of the Year this year through the hours and hours of hard work you put in to your game. The University of Findley is getting a great player! We love you and will miss you! God Bless!!
Rob Davis: My fellow coach and great, great friend! Great job this year! You are totally deserving of the District 14 Coach of the Year award this year. I know how much you dislike being put above others, but you deserve every award you get! Rob is all about team and rewarding the girls for their play, as am I, but my friend you deserve the accolades! You earned them with all the hard work you put into this team year in and year out.
Finally to all the Lady Devils: Thank you for such a great season ladies! You have worked extremely hard to get to the point you are today! We talked about being a family and caring about each other! It showed all season as it was fun watching you ladies grow not only as players but as friends and teammates! It has been a GREAT honor to have been apart of such a special season. We are still an extremely young team that is only going to get better. I think this season was just the tip of the ice burg of the potential you have. Keep working hard and great things will continue to happen for you!!

Re: North Adams Lady Devils - Tournament Edition
It was hard to see the lady devils lose this one. Not to take anything away from Alexander (congratulations to the lady Spartans on working together and winning the district) and their hard work, but I really felt the lady devils should have won.
On the bright side, however, the lady devils are only losing one player this year to graduation and they have a LOT of talent on this team, even though it was not always recognized. I got the privilege of watching these girls play several times this year and the talent that all of these young ladies have is amazing. They should come back next year and have an outstanding year and I look forward to following their accomplishments. The Beasley girl did play good this year and i congratulate her on all of her accomplishments, but i think that next year the girls will pull together and mold into an even better team, making it even further in tournament. Good luck to the Lady Spartans in tournament, and to the Lady Devils for next year's season.
Get 'em next year girls!!

Correction, the North Adams Lady Devils won the southern hills league this season (Congratulations), as mentioned earlier, however, they shared this title with two other great teams, the Eastern Lady Warriors and the Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs.
Re: North Adams Lady Devils - Tournament Edition
I would like to add my congratulations to the North Adams Lady Devils and coaching staff on a great season. North Adams may only lose one senior but what a senior she is and what a career she has had at North Adams. Her leadership and contributions on the court are going to be hard to replace. I know she will have success at Findlay and I wish her nothing but the best. You will be missed Karli.
I agree with love the game that there is a lot of talent returning. I'm sure they will work hard over the summer and they will need multiple players to step up to fill the void being left by Karli. I'm sure they can do it but it's not going to be easy.

Re: North Adams Lady Devils - Tournament Edition
Boomer, the thing to realize is that one person does not make a team, no matter how talented. From what I have seen and heard this girls' team does have lots of other talent on the team. Emily Fite is an awesome ball player. She is just naturally athletic and will be quite successful, I believe. They have several returning sophomores that really impress me as well. Sparks and Davis have both contributed quite a bit this year and I even heard they were mentioned on all district or all league or something. There is another sophomore, Pertuset I believe, who although small in stature, plays bigger than her size. I have seen her drive the ball to the hoop against much bigger and stronger players several times. In addition, there are returning juniors that will step up.
I think it is a little unrealistic to say that they will need "multiple players" to step up to fill the void with Beasley graduating. I think we should give the rest of the team a little credit for the success they had this year, don't you?

I don't think my comments were unrealistic at all and I do give credit to the rest of the team and would also include this years juniors who seem to get overlooked for their contributions. I think multiple players will have to step up as Karli led the team in rebounding, scoring, assists, steals, was their leading 3 point shooter, and one of the best ball handlers against the press. I think it's too much to expect one player to step in and lead in all those categories and hope that multiple players can step up and fill those voids as well as the leadership role. I think they can and will and the result will be an even stronger team next season but I do recognize how good a player they are losing.
