I like Ironton in this one! The Tigers physical play and ability to get to the hole will be the difference in this one.

do these teams have any common opponents ? i am pretty sure the last time these teams played ironton was a favorite in the district tournament and got blown out by the spartans. sparans win by 13pts

If the lady spartans play the way they have the last couple games, I feel they will win this game but I think it will be a close one. Hopefully they will start out better then they did against Trimble last Saturday. Go Spartans

One of the reasons h2o that Ironton got blown out 2 years ago against Alexander was they were without the services of their leading scorer who was on the bench with an acl tear. Not saying they would have won but it would have been alot closer for she was also an excellent defender. Don't overlook this team for these girls are scrappy and have the tools to score. If they can play solid on defense and not get into foul trouble they will do just fine. GO TIGERS

That is true about the player that didn't play that night.She could have made a big difference.But, this is another year and Alexander is the stronger team.

Flipped acoin and the winner will be Alexander but it should be a close one and can go either way.

Does Ironton girls have many players that are suffering from the flu? Sad part is that if the girls come to the game sick then the other teams get it and take it back to their schools as well. I look for all the schools in southeast ohio havinf widespread sickness before too long. My son played against Ironton in a biddy league game at the Rock Hill tourney this week hope he doesn't bring it home!

As far as I know there were only two absent from practice yesterday. My daughter was one but she has been to the doctor and doesn't have the flu. She won't play anyway. But the starters are pretty healthy right now.It really has affected the boys team but they are coming out of it too.Hopefully a healthy team will pull out a win Sat. GOOD LUCK LADY TIGERS!

Do I have this right? This coming Saturday 2/28, the Lady Tigers play in Waverly at 1:45 PM and the Guy Fighting Tigers play in Jackson at 8:00 PM. Do I see another dual game circle bus trip being planned? Or are we all too sick to think about planning big trips at all?
