We're talking AAU basketball, not OHSAA basketball.

In AAU basketball, there are two divisions (if there are enough teams) in each age group at the AAU District Qualifying Tournament ("State Tournament"). Division one is where your top of the line and more elite teams play. You'll still see some top of the line and elite teams in the division two level, but most of the times, the third or fourth place team in division one could beat the division two champion.
