Huge game in the SEOAL. A logan win keeps them in the driver's seat for the league title and a win by Jackson throws them right back into the thick of it...and gives the Ironladies a payback for the heartbreaker early in the year on the last second bankshot from 25 feet by Logan.
Good Luck Ironladies!

IMO it is a pivotal game in the SEOL. The four teams at the top of the league are contenders with the bottom three shooting it out amoung themselves. In a way this makes any game between Logan, Jackson, Warren or Marietta a big deal. Balance at the top and bottom but not overall league wise.
Logan winning this game would really put them in a great position ,of course losing puts the 2 loss teams crowding the top. For Jackson they need the win to keep them in contention and to lose could make winning a league crown super difficult.
This is just a swing point. Start of the second half round of play. You just want it to swing your way.

It is simple. If Jackson loses they have three losses and are done as far as SEOAL Championship goes. Logan then puts themselves in great position. If Jackson wins then all bets are off on who has upper hand as then four teams will be either tied or within one game of the lead with a full round to play.

If Logan loses they will still have the advantage by virtue of them having won at Marietta while Jackson did not. A Jackson win would only neutralize their loss at home to Logan, and not neutralize Logan's win at Marietta. I'm not trying to diminish the importance of this big game, but to get the race back to even amongst Jackson, Marietta, Warren, and Logan(assumming that no team has an advantage over another until they beat them at their place) would be for Marietta and Jackson to BOTH win at Logan. That is a tall order and I'll be rooting for the first half of that to happen Saturday night.

Not correcting you in as much as I think you meant : would be for Marietta and JACKSON to both win at Logan: Along this line Marietta will be playing AT Logan, AT Warren and a season ending game AT Jackson. Murder row?????

You are correct, I meant Jackson and Marietta to both win at Logan would even up the race. And you are correct in that Marietta has yet to play at each of the other title competitors still. Another key is Warren who has already taken losses at Jackson and Logan, so any of the other three who can sweep Warren would have an edge, or if Warren could sweep Marietta they'd be really helping themselves. Too bad we didn't get the Warren at Marietta answer this week!

Jackson 11 12 14 11 -- 48
Logan.... 8 11 19 19 -- 57
Jackson has 5 turnovers before they can score going down 8-0, yet come back to win the 1st qtr, and continue the run to take a 21-11 lead. The 4th quarter was nip and tuck for the first 7 minutes with each team able to get a 3 point lead but not able to get a two possession lead. Nicole Chapman made several great steals in the 4th qtr on passes that were not intended for the player she was guarding. On one she broke out ahead of everyone and it looked like she was going to put Jackson in a two possession lead, but she lost control and lost the ball. Then Stephanie Murphy, the player of the game for Logan, made a basket on a play when she was hammered - amazingly somehow the ball went in the basket and she made the FT to tie the game at 45 with half of the 4th qtr remaining. Then it was tied at 47 with 2:44 left. Logan took a 49-48 lead with 1:52 left. Logan got the ball back and I thought they called a very questionable foul on Cooper guarding Cassady with 1:11 left, and from there Logan made 8/8 FT the rest of the game. After Cassady made 2 to get the lead to 51-48 and Logan got the ball back still with the 3 point lead, I think Jackson coaching made a strategy error in telling their team to foul with ~35 sec left. Madison Ridout, who had four fouls, promptly obliged, and fouled Cassady, the wrong person, with 34 sec left, and she made two more, getting the lead to 53-48 and that was effectively the game.
Deciding the game I thought was Logan's 10/11 FT in the 4th qtr compared to Jackson's 5/12, of which I think all were shot in the first 6 minutes of the 4th qtr, and Jackson muffing a lot of opportunities when they had the ball in good position near the basket.
