Morgan Leidtke (Yes the coaches is daughter) is approaching the state record for 3 point %.She is shooting over 54% with a minium of 100 shots attempted.I am susprised how well River played vs Garaway.River tried to slowdown vs FF and got beat 31-7.I figure it will be like in the 30s.FF is a year away from being a state championship contender.Next season when they get 6-1 Jr Sammie Hanson back from ACL.Also 6-1 Megan Leidtke will be a freshman next season.FF starts- Taylor Bucannon 5-11 So14 PPg, Morgan Leidtke So 13 ppg,Deidra Combs 5-11 so 10 ppg,Emily Tornes so , and Lacey Huck 5-11 Sr Key Reserves-Brooke Borich Fr,Katie Tornes Sr,Mckayla Hupp 6-0 So,Ali Lawerence So.They Jv is 38-0 the last 2 seasons.

Yes, but Oak Hill thought they were a year away when they were state runner-up. You never know how it will end up. Sometimes the tourney run just takes a little bit of luck.

Yes they can play with Garaway and Eastern Brown but those are proven programs that the FF girls are trying to turn into.FF lost to Eastern Brown in the elite 8 in 00,01,02.
Re: Fort Frye (20-3) vs Garaway District Final 3-4
EASTER do you really think all those girls will still be playing next year?

You might want to check your stats. The second River - Fort Frye game was 20 - 6.
And that's not a Garaway score!
Fort Frye certainly has some talent. While they might not get to Columbus this year, they certainly are going to be a threat to accomplish this task in the future. Definitely an up and coming team. While they might be a year away...they certainly are capable for winning a few more games this year.

Why would these girls quit? They have been playing together forever.Sure they might lose a couple but the girls that are getting to play will be around. The whole program is DEEP!My bad River ball but anyway they held a district team to 6 point.

Fort Frye is definitely the team of the future in the Eastern District. The question is....does their future start this Friday night or will it be delayed until next year. Regardless, expect a low scoring affair. First team to 20 wins!

This is one of those weird games when FF is more athletic but sometimes struggles under pressure.I haven't been to a game since Wheeling Central game so I'm not sure who is bringin up the ball Morgan or Emily.Morgan is not a true ball handler but she is a beast player.I think FF wins 39-32 and Dan gets revenge on Bardall from 03 when the Boys were 23-0 and Garaway ran stall and beat FF 37-33.

But wasn't Garaway's win in '03 revenge for Fort Frye beating their boys a few years earlier in the districts? I believe Garaway had quite the team that year and Fort Frye upset them....going all the way to Columbus that year too?

FF boys also beat Tyler Gerber lead Garaway team in districts in 07.In 08 Garaway would lose in the state finals. If FF would not have lost to Tusky in 08 I believe they beat Garaway. If the boys win sat FF would face Garaway at districts.FF and Garaway boys and girls are 2 of the top programs in Eastern district.

Coach Liedtke could put it to Garaway twice in one week.
But I remember Tusky Valley from last year. They were awful good and while Fort Frye wasn't bad last year, they were not at the level they are this year. And Garaway is probably about the same or perhaps a little down from the team last year.

Two egotists putting the fans into a coma.........
Nice. I know, a win is a win. For the fans, this had to be like sitting in your living room watching the paint dry.
Will be interesting to see what type of strategy Garaway employs in their next game.
Congrats to FF ladies on a great season. Too bad it came down to a snoozefest.
