North Adams 12-2
Peebles 11-2

Those are the top teams in this sectional. It's a coin toss right now on who deserves it more. Hopefully they square off again to decide. Both beat PWest by around 30. Peebles beat Western 49-29....beat Portsmouth by about 50

Manchester is 7-6 with 5 of their losses to excellent teams.

Fairfield 5-8....best win was over Manchester

Whiteoak is 1-12 with an 11 point win over Symmes Valley

To me Peebles is the only team that can beat North Adams and vice versa.

Clay/Notre Dame seem similar and should in some fashion be the #3 and #4 seeds.

Western and Manchester are pretty close but I think Manchester has some beaten Ironton St Joe

Fairfield should be locked in the #7

Paint Valley has struggled but probably the #8 with New Boston or Whiteoak the #9 (West Union beat New Boston badly and West Union hasn't won a game in the league (0-7) and East the #11

New Boston just lost to Symmes Valley 67-44....game was at New Boston

New Boston has 3 wins but their scores lead me to believe they should be the #10 seed

As of right now I'd seed it

1. Peebles
2. North Adams
3. Notre Dame
4. Clay
5. Manchester
6. Western
7. Fairfield
8. Paint Valley
9. Whiteoak
10. New Boston
11. East

They get 4 teams out I believe, Clay has a 6' and some good guards and could give some problems in this sectional, but won't have o face either NA or Peebles. The trouble will be in District Semis. Waterford, Eastern Reedsville, Webster our tough teams to get past.

SHAC could get 3 teams out of this sectional

North Adams goes to 13-2 with a 48-24 win over Ripley

Fairfield drops to 5-9 losing 70-20 to high power Fayetteville (14-0 and probably almost as good as Eastern Meigs)

The SHAC is extremely tough......I would have a hard time seeding Latham above Fairfield because of Fairfield's schedule....losses to Vinton County, Hillsboro, North Adams, Fayetteville-twice, Manchester-split with them, Wheelersburg, Lynchburg, McClain.

Agree, but it's going to happen. The #6 seed will have a decently easier route than the #7

Manchester beat them as well.

1-14 Whiteoak stayed pretty well with them after the 2 hour ride to their place.

What's Western's record?

Conference wise you give he edge to the SHAC as the small school Division plays all the schools in the big school division, so there records are a little more Skewed. The SHACs top 4 teams are tough, two teams Fayetville and Peebles ranked(peebles may have dropped one of top ten) in the top 15 in the state. But if you just look at records blindly it may be Western a 5 seed. Look at SW and Eastern last year, Eastern got the higher seed due to wins and losses, but Webster plays in a D3/d2 conference all year. Think at times the seeding format should be changed, but JMO

I think they are 8-7 but don't hold me to it.

As for the #1 or #2....both will have difficult district semis, but the #2 will have it much tougher facing South Webster opposed to Eastern Pike (SW defeated EP 60-39) and if advancing to district final the #2 will have to face Eastern Meigs.....the #1 will face Waterford who is excellent but 15-20 points behind Eastern Meigs.

Eastern Meigs just played D1 9-4 Olentangy Liberty (621 girls) and beat them 70-38

Tonight they played 9-5 Southern and beat them 83-27

They beat D2 (13-2) Jackson @Jackson by 20....Huntington St Joe only beat us by 6

The #1 seed will have a chance to make the regionals.....the #2 seed will not.

Peebles and North Adams are dead-locked for the #1 right now

Paint Valley is going to be the tough team to vote for in this sectional. First of all they are in the room by themselves and we know how that goes. If you go on record maybe they are the eight seed. If you are ranking the teams based on ability and schedule PV enters the discussion for five or six. The first question I would ask would be to PV and it would be - why in the world are you playing this schedule? Beyond that it will be interesting to see how the divisional breakdown and scheduling impacts the vote.

PV plays Unioto twice, Westfall twice, Zane Trace twice, and Piketon twice…then non-league like Vinton County, Minford, Hillsboro, and Lynchburg. PV has not played Peebles or NA this year. PV plays 7 or 8 D-II games and a bunch of D-III schools. I think PV will only play one or two D-IV teams.

Peebles and NA are the best in this group by a lot, but after that the 3-6 is interesting – obviously the 7-10 is not a good place to be.

Not much to go on with Paint Valley

Paint Valley beat Eastern Brown 38-36. Eastern Brown is 1-12 and their only win is over 1-13 Whiteoak.

Also Paint Valley lost to Lynchburg Clay by 46 and lost to Hillsboro by 31.....Hillsboro only beat Whiteoak by 15

North Adams beat Lynchburg by 7 and Peebles beat them by 15

Paint Valley should be facing Whiteoak in the #8/#9 matchup...but will likely get New Boston who will have more wins than Whiteoak but NB lost to West Union in a blowout.
