Yes, Chillicothe is that good. I feel that they have the 2 best players in the area. It will take a great game to beat them this year.

Not only that, but they return almost their entire team from last year, that was also very talented.

8-1 Cavs.................5-0 at half.

Basil and Skowronek did not play the field in the second half, Skowronek got 15 mins as goalie.

I believe it was Skowronek and not Weber that had the hat trick. (first half hat trick)

Chillicothe played played very well to a man. Everyone contributed.

Nice gesture by Coach Fauber and the Alexander faithful to feed both teams after the game. The cavs were very greatful.

Next up for Chilly: Home vs ZT Sat in the Larry Cox Memorial Challenge

Waverly didn't miss a beat by taking care of Washington CH last night 10-0. I can't imagine Courthouse winning a game this season.

After the rain storm delayed this game for some time, Burg had a 2-1 advantage before the game was called due to darkness. It was called about 10 minutes into the 2nd half.

JV started but only played about 5 minutes before the storm hit.

Larry Cox Memorial Challenge

Chillicothe 4
ZT 1

1-1 at half; Very evenly played first half with both squads missing some good opportunities and both teams dominating short stretches of play.

I was very impressed with the Zane Trace team. They played fast, physical, and with a lot of intensity. They should have a solid season.

Chillicothe started out rather slow. Still experimenting a little with personnel and formations early in the game. Settled down in the second half, but still didn't possess the ball well enough to please the coaches.

Still some kinks to work out with player assignments and roles....but getting there.

Final was 5-1 / Basil with 1, Skoronek with 2, Buchanan and Ball with 1 each. Also very impressed with the effort of Zane Trace, they will have a good season! The game & the crowd was great on the night we honored former Chillicothe police officer Larry Cox! Great job Gary Bloomburg! Chillicothe has great depth, really paid off as the Cavs were able to match Zane Traces great effort in the first half and then pull away in the 2nd half. Big opening game at Athens on Thursday; good luck to the Cavaliers!!!
