I was talking to a nephew last night. Found out that Fairfield Union has had five relatives make 1st team all league over the last several years. Four of the five have set records or are in the top three or four for yearly records. Mid state 01 is one of them along with the Osborn brothers, Josh Schultz and Bryan Stoltz. The last four are 1st cousins. Thought that was kind of an interesting tidbit. Wonder how many other schools have had that kind of run of relations making their mark on a program like that. Midstate 01 may have another one next year. And no we aren't all married to our cousins.

Lostgeneral......That`s a pretty cool thing that I never thought about. It must be in the genes, as they say!!! As for your thought about Shea, you know as well as I do that unless he is used differently next year, he won`t be able to get the stats needed to be recognized. He should have gotten some recognition this year but couldn`t get the stats due to the coaches scheme. It`s too bad because he is one of the hardest workers out there every day and has been that way since he started playing at 4 yrs old.(I`m a little biased though I guess)

Smeltzy, Nothing wrong with being a little biased. I would be disappointed if you weren't. We haven't spent all ours lives with them not to care about our children. I still think he 'll move into that roll up front and be able to show his ability. We'll be there watching. Hope he gets his black dress shirt back by next year though. It's still hanging on the chair in the kitchen. Some one keeps forgetting to take it to school with them.

I know one set of brothers and sisters that combined competed in 40 years of track for one high school. It would have been more but it went back to where the school did not have a girls' squad for a couple of the old girls for all four years.
But there have been many sets of brothers and sisters that have had achieved honors like that. Not usually in the same year though.
