Does anyone know where to find the All SE district selections for Boys and Girls Soccer?

I would think that it would come after the District Finals.

Last year it was 11/14. Not sure when all the district games finished up last year, but that is about when the state is done

I know who 2 of the SE Player of the Year winners are. I'm pretty sure that they aren't supposed to be out yet, but it was a member of the media who posted them.

Lol, I'm just glad that the 2nd one got announced by the same writer. In this day and age, you might as well just send them out since it gets out on twitter so quickly now.

If they look at points, should go to midfielder from Northwest. Has highest point total in southeast.

Goals, points... all numbers. And of course they mean something, but who are you doing it against , and how many come when you shouldn't even be in the game.... some coaches don't allow this, and they should be commended. But when these meetings happen, it's amazing to me how coaches see a number and vote on that alone.

I agree. It seems to me coaches feel like they have to bulge their player's numbers up sacrificing upcoming player's playing time against inferior teams. To me it's not necessary. You know when you see talent, but maybe some opposing coaches don't pay attention enough to where they rely on numbers. I wonder how many defenders have won player of the year, if any?

Hard to get a defender POY. Stats are king. Intangibles are hard to vote for especially when you may only get to see a player a couple times. Even a keeper struggles to get support.

Comes with the territory. Just the way it is. But for all the defenders and goalies, you do what you do

Chillicothe had a defender win D2 POY last year.

Unioto has had a goalie win POY before. It doesn't happen often at all, but it's possible.

This is who your player of the year should be:

Million dollar tournament and you are the coach, You get to pick your team out of the south east district. You get first pick, who do you take?

Not I'm voting for my teams kid cause they are on my team, not vote for a kid in trade for other votes, not voting for kids because they are in your league. Just respect the game and vote for the player you would pick first if you could take anyone. Easy...

Theron Ruff has been the best player in the district for 2 straight years. Maybe 3. But FU's coach refuses to run scores up, and also in games that are in hand, she's not staying in the game to shoot.

Not taking anything away from Campbell either because she is a fantastic player and 100% a player you'd want on your team. AND she led her team to the district title. So let's just get that out of the way....

But theron is the best player I've seen at FU and we have had some good ones. Fu will probably never get the individual awards though because other coaches vote for players in their league, or teams they play, and FU doesn't play many games vs SE district schools in season.
