Webster defeats West 25-12, 25-13, 25-11.

West is playing better than in the past. Looks like their new coach is doing good things with them. It seemed like there were more girls playing too.

They have about the same number they usually do and they still havent won a game? Middle school program is starting to get up and running and in the right direction. The group of freshman at west this year last year in middle only lost 2 or 3 games.

Unfortunately Digger that's far from the truth. The new coach doesn't know the game of volleyball and has never played. If anything they will be going down hill for a few years again until some girls decide to start buying into the sport. They are already losing games they haven't lost against teams in the past few years and aren't even competing like they used to according to the scores these past games.
I don't see the program ever taking off until the players and parents give it all they can, like they do for Softball.

When I saw them play they were setting the ball up and not just playing barn ball. But I do agree with you about the West girls realizing that there is more than just softball out there. West has always had a good group of athletes but volleyball and basketball take a back seat. I'm a major believer in girl-power and would love to see all area schools build their girls sports programs up to be strong competitors against the other schools in the state.

Northwest played excellent defense last night. They didn't let anything hit the floor. It was not an easy win for the Jeeps.

Valley over Minford 3 to 1 tuesday. valley over waverly last thursday, dont know games won though. valley at NW tomorrow.

Oak Hill over South Gallia and Ports West in the last few days, moves them to 3-2 I believe.(losses to Minford in 5 sets and Burg, Win over Wellston)

On Monday, Webster lost to Jackson in 5 and on Tuesday beat Minford 23-25, 25-7, 25-21, 25-19.

Webster over Burg 25-16, 25-18, 25-20. Burg played well ,but Webster looked better than they have all season. Finally played the whole match well and passing made a huge difference! Good job ladies!
