Congrats Spartans!!!! First Athens County State Championship since NY won state in football in '81.

Just got back from the game. What a great game Alex played! Gilmour just had no answer for the Lady Spartans. Congratulations Alex from fans in Tomcat Land!

First team maybe, Kurt Roberts of Athens won state in shot put in 06...i digress, so as much as it kills this Bulldog to say...Congrats Alex!
Same for Nelsonville-York wrestling...Matt Yinger won State in 1989 (I believe).
Regardless, I don't want to take anything away from these young ladies who are in the spotlight right now.

How did the game go? I was attending a cross country meet in KY and couldn't hear anything about the V-ball score.

Congrats from down on the river. I got to converse with a few of the Alex faithful the last couple of years during the B-ball playoffs and consider them my friends. Great job girls, coaches and staff. We're proud of you!!!
