Trojans Win Again

Congrats to the Lady Trojans tonight on a hard fought win over Ironton. The girls losT the first set 27-25 and things didn't look good. But, here is were this team is starting to turn the corner becoming a good team. They fought back and won the second and third sets with great team play from all. The tigers would fight back like they always do in this rivalry and won the fourth set. The Trojans got down 15-14 and were facing a defeat when coach Stanley called time out to rally the troops. The Trojans came out of the time out and after 3 straight points won the 5th set 17-15. This was a great volleyball game played by two teams fighting for every point. But, in the end the Lady Trojans wanted it more. What I seen tonight was a team that played together and was driven to win. This same Ironton team beat the Trojans earlier in the year 3 sets to 0. This team is really coming together and playing very well right now. They have won 3 out to their last 4 and are now 6-9 on the season. I'm really impressed with the progress this team has made over the last month. They have always had talent but didn't play together and it would cost them victorys. Coach Stanley has them playing together now and the victorys are coming more often. Playing short handed tonight without their second leading scorer would have deflated this team before. But everyone had to step and play thier part in order to upset the lady tigers and step up they did. This was a team effort and if things continue going this way we will finish above .500 this year and it will be the start of something good for the Lady Trojans down the road. Congrats again Coach Stanley and all of the girls on a great win. Each and everyone of you deserve a pat on the back. Smile and be happy with this hard fought win you deserve it. GO LADY TROJANS.
