Sadly, Piketon volleyball is far behind many other local programs. Many girls in other locales start playing club and travel volleyball in grade school, whereas many of ours don't start until 7th grade. There needs to be a pee wee program at the grade school level so the girls can start developing their skills earlier.

I don’t know much about the entire program but the young lady that coached the 8th grade girls team done an outstanding job. Piketons 8th grade girls team was clearly the most improved team in a very competitive field of SVC talent this season.

The Pike County YMCA holds a Youth Volleyball Program for area 1st through 6th Graders...The league begins in January!
