Here is the all-league volleyball team, which will appear in Sunday's Times-Journal as well.

Jackson's Kelsey Martin is the only other league MVP from Jackson in the sport besides Billina (Cooper) Donaldson in 1988 and 1989.

The SEOAL began sponsoring championships and all-league teams in volleyball beginning in the 1977 season.

Congrats to those on this year's all-league team.

Congrats to all those honored. One omission that is mind boggling to me is Bailey Poage from Warren. In my mind she was the best all around player for the Lady Warriors this fall.

Either the coach never put her up for league voting or the other coaches did not share your opinion.

Thought Ervin from Marietta would get some recognition. Girl can serve a volleyball. Don't know many who would have gone through what she did to play the game then doesn't get any recognition.

Since you all are so knowlegeable can any of you tell the rest of us who should be chosen for the all district teams and player of the year before those results come out. It s easy to second guess once theyve been posted, who shouldn't be on and who should have been left off, but nows your chance to tell us who should be on from your team and why.

From Warren I would have to say Emily Foy would be deserving. Does anyone know when its coming out?
