Would have been a warmer game than most of the scrimmages so far.danicalifornia wrote:The game happened last month!

This was good DII baseball tonight. Great pitching from Lemaster (Jackson) and Mattox (Meigs). Both scoreless into the 7th.
I've seen Jackson twice against Circleville and Meigs and I've been impressed for a team that's had to replace 7 starters. Good defense and great pitching performances in both. Just need to get the young guys more at bats and hopefully click offensively.
Meigs is good again and will be led by pitching. I thought it would be tough to lose a senior catcher in Bartrum, but the kid tonight did a good job.

Was a great game as usual between the two ball clubs, can tell it's still early and the bats will improve as the season goes along.Ironstrong wrote:This was good DII baseball tonight. Great pitching from Lemaster (Jackson) and Mattox (Meigs). Both scoreless into the 7th.

99 done a great job on the mound.
Helton stepped in and done a great job catching. Hasn't caught since like the 8th grade and even then it was limited. He wil become a very good catcher in the league.
Having our last years #4 hitter and #5 Hitter will hurt a little.
We have 5 returning starters from last year.
