Playable as GAHS defeated Eastern Meigs 9-6 in dedication game.

In the near future, they still need to install the scoreboard in left field and place distance signs on the outfield fence

Several other things like a locker room, some landscaping outside the field, real restrooms, lights, improved parking facilities (other than the basketball lot) a refreshment stand and pressbox plus a new flagpole for the U. S. flag.

Field itself is really nice.

Jottings completely agree about the playing surface! I cannot remember seeing one bad hop last night.

My only issue with the field was the direction in which it sits. I am unsure on the lay of the land before the field was laid out. However, it does not look like fun for the right fielder and may be unsafe for the first baseman, especially with the glare off of the school's roof.

Not sure what you mean by lay of the land? When games are played between to hours of 5 & 8 the sun will always be in someones eyes.... If games were played in the afternoon then the sun would be in everyone's eyes on fly balls... That's why most players wear sun glasses.... I was told the fields were laid out just as memorial field ... As far as the glare, sun glasses should take care of that also.....
