Funny how things work out.

Brockmeirer facing Hopper who are both headed to Marietta and also will be rooming together this fall.

Pretty much came out even between the 2 as Hopper K'd on an 8 or 9 pitch 1st AB, then doubled to RCF the second time at the plate. Brockmeirer had a solid day at the plate and pitched well.

Can't wait to watch these 2 at Marietta next four years.

Brockmeirer didnt impress me as much as i thaught he would. he is a great player, and i am sure he works hard, and i know he had a great year in high school, but he didnt come across to me as the player he has been advertised. i guess you cant be awesme on a daily basis, it was just 1 game. best of luck at the next level, hard work does pay off

Evan did not have his usual pinpoint accuracy. He pitched a great game though and is very crafty. He is not a strike out pitcher and gives up some basehits, but not many runs. He is one of my all time favorite players to have had the opportunity to coach. I am going to miss watching him.

I think he even played all the positions in the field too, and scored all the runs. It's a team game gtown whether you want to admit it or not.

I just talked to my son and he is with POST 23 and they were suppose to play at Bob Wren at 9:30 am, postponed now until 7:30 pm tonight

I am close to Athens right now and it is still raining, not likely any games being played today.

Looks like we will playing tomorrow!

I think rainouts are harder on the dads than the kids. Sometimes this time of year, the kids enjoy a day off...

I will have to agree with u 100%, Cause i had to come to work today instead of going to the game. This might give me a chance to go tomorrow if they even get to play then :( Just looked at the radar an there is alittle bit of a break between the rains. I will keep my fingers crossed for the rains to completly quit. It has rained here on the river all day

Six more, including two vs the undefeated team...
Not impossible, Beverly/Lowell lost first game to Pickerington in 2006 and came all the way back and won the tourney.
Good luck to Portsmouth Post 23.

i really hope post 23 does good in this tournament i want them to win it all.

i've pitched against this team twice this year in the regular season, and let me tell you they are a very good hitting team and pitching. i was 1-1 against them in pitching.

For updated schedule and bracket, go to www.ohiolegion.com and click on the State Tourney button.
No times listed for this am, but they hope to start games by 10:00, according to an official in Athens.

No games @ Wren today. I have been told that a 10:00 start is possible for Dalton Field but Rannow may be later.
