bengalfan is right. The high schools playing at the VA get none of the money from the gate. It is the Paints that charge the money and it is the Paints that gets the money...all of it.

I know of some schools in Lawrence County that charge admission. I'm sure they do so in hopes of defraying the cost of umpires somewhat. No way will all the cost be covered but every bit would help.

Army the post asks if Your school charges for admission.
I don't have a problem with the paints charging but I don't want people thinking schools charge there. The Paints keep all of the money.

Why don't schools charge for baseball? There is a lot better quality of play on the field in that sport than football or basketball on the whole in southern Ohio.

Good thing your great grandpa is not still alive. Back when your uncle played nobody charged to get in , except Wahama. They tried to charge y
our great grandfather and he punked them. He said by golly I have been
goning to baseball games for 50 years and never paid to get in and I'm not going to start today. It was really funny! You will have to ask Kent about it.

South Point doesn't charge becasue the games are at the Little League fields. I look for them to start when the new field is built beside the new schools.

South Webster doesn't charge for baseball or softball. It' s almost impossible to due to the location of the field. (Little League and no controlled parking)

So, come out and support your Jeep baseball team. Free admission, great popcorn & hot dogs (not free), and great players!

Good Luck Jeeps!

I think all the SHL schools charge. I know it's a bummer but what people have to realize is that a lot of sports outside basketball are not self supporting. It's about 100$ for officials for EACH baseball and softball game. The money has to come from somewhere.
