Wheelersburg has not had much success against the two top teams in the SVC in recent years at tournament time.

2001 Loss to Zane Trace in the Regional Semi-Finals
2004 Loss to Adena in the District Final
2005 Loss to Adena in the District Semi-Final
2006 Win against Zane Trace in the District Final
2007 Loss to Zane Trace in the District Final

I will go with Adena to go to Columbus.

Maybe it's time for that trend to end.

Who is the home team in this one? Never mind. It looks like Adena is on top of the bracket and I would guess that means they are the home team.

I just took a look at the Burg regional and those four teams were a combined 102-7 for the best record of all four regionals. The other three have 86-24, 84-24, and 87-16 combined records.

I'm going to try to go to this game tomorrow, so could someone hook me up with directions? Is the stadium right off off 104 on Hines Blvd?

Take 104N stadium is easy to find.
Turn left at the VA All roads lead to the Stadium

That is an OLD picture but that is the stadium. It is not hard to find at all. As the previous poster has noted, take 35 west and then 104 north. Pass the prison. The VA is on the left. Turn left at the main entrance and then left into the parking lot of the stadium.

Thanks, I figured that's where it was, I just wasn't 100% sure. I also kind of figured that was an old photo since it looks like the field has a dirt infield and grass outfield instead of all turf like it is now.

I have been at the VA 3 tmes this year,,,drrabitts directions is the way we always take...its easy to find....

I love watching games up there..I have to take my son to a Doctor appointment in Piketon in the morning, if he feels up to it, I may just come on up to see this game.

BG77... 104N past the prision and entrance is just past the golf course on left.

This should be a dandy matchup between the #1 and #3 state ranked D3 teams. Although not sure my nerves can take another like last night.

Look for Wamsley to be on the hill for Burg. I feel the pitching edge will go to Burg as Wamsley is as good as Russell.

Burgs defense stepped up numerous times last night an must continuefor them to advance. Need to step it up at the plate today as we must hit the baseball.

Burg should have an easier time hitting this afternoon, but still shouldn't explode like earlier in the year. Barnes has very good location and some decent stuff, Uhrig has the best stuff for Adena, but who knows if his arm can hold up.

Collin Uhrig(2 time SVC POY) did win the Regional Championship game when he was a freshmen and started the State Title game, so he shouldn't have any nerves if he's on the bump for Adena.

I think Wheelersburg will win the game, 5-3. The winner should win the State Title, IMO.
