Game One will see Athens at the plate with a runner on and (Future TVC-Ohio POY) Jared Cline at the plate with Athens supporting a (3-0) lead in the bottom of the 2nd or 3rd...

Athens needs to Win just one of the two games that they will play in tomorrow to wrap up their 1st TVC-Ohio Baseball Championship. Also, Athens could still wrap up the League Championship if they would happen lose both Alexander games if Wellston would lose any of their remaining (4) games...

Tomorrow night at Rannow Field should be a great night (If the Rain Bug Doesn't Show) to get out and catch not one, but 2 baseball games between two rivals just down the road from each other...

Sophomore Dean Maffin is currently on the hill in Game One for Athens. I cannot remember who the Alexander hurler was but I assume it will be the same kid...

Come watch Athens try to close out their 1st TVC-OHIO championship @ Home...

Wellston only has 4 remaining league games . They are currently 5 - 3 in the league. Athens is 9 - 0.

ATHENS in Game One (11-1)F/6
ATHENS in Game Two (11-7)

Cline Homered to re-start Game One...
Cline Homered to Give Athens the Lead in Game Two at (8-7) in the Top of the 6th.

Maffin earned the 'W' in Game One goin' the Distance.
Gillespie earned the 'W' in Game Two goin' the Distance.

Zane Summers hit the Game-Winning Hit in Game One...
Cline gave Athens the eventual Game Winning run in the Top of the 6th with his Solo Homer...
Shad McCollum put down a bunt in the Top of the 7th of Game Two that scored 2 Athens runners (Zoulek & Gillespie)...

Athens with the WIN in Game One Won their 1st TVC-OHIO Baseball Championship and it couldn't have happened to a better bunch of players and Congrats to Coach Gibson and his Coaching Staff from Top to Bottom...

This is Coach Gibson's 1st League Title since his group took the SEOAL championship in 2003...

Congrats to Athens on the TVC title. I believe I called that back in the winter along with Cline as the POY.
