In a makeup game for the 2011 Southeastern Ohio Athletic League championship at Gallipolis, play was suspended in the top of the second inning with two out and a Warren Local player on first base. No one had scored when play was halted.
Umpires suspended the game because of lightning and thunder. Play will be resumed Friday, May 13, with the Warriors batting.
Caleb Warnimont started on the mound for GAHS Tuesday and Ben Ekelman started for Warren Local.

I made the trip from Athens on Monday hoping to see the game. Would have been a perfect day for baseball.

Zane Trace and Valley played one inning in a regular season game.
The field was playable, but the lightning and thunder would not stop.

Federal Hocking and River Valley 11-11 after 7 innings. Suspended due to darkness. To be completed Wednesday.

The game will be played Wednesday. If Waverly's field is not playable then they have to go to Athens. If Athens not playable they will be playing at a neutral site.

Athens did not get the rain that hit on Tuesday. Our field is dry and we can host if Waverly's field is too wet.
