Umpires needed for district all star game in Rio Grande

If anyone would be interested in donating their time to a worthy cause, the district all star game is being held today June 8 at 3:00 at Rio Grande.
If you are an umpire and would like to participate in a fun game (very relaxed atmosphere),

Why are we asking for volunteers to umpire? We certainly must have enough in the account to pay two umps the normal rate to do the game. Baseball does such a good job running their all district games and here we are begging for someone to ump for free. Also, with the PA available, why don't we announce the girls names as they bat. The way the game is conducted now, its no more than a pickup game where the girls receive shirts. Lets do this right by honoring the girls and make it something nice for them to participate in.

Well lets all give a hand to Jim Hall, from Wellston who did volunteer ,behind the plate to umpire with no gear. snaps to you Jim.....
