Gallipolis is scheduled to host Coal Grove 3 p.m. today (
Saturday)/ .Doubt if they get the OVC contest in.

Clay and porstmouth west is still a go

Gallia Academy and Coal Grove cancelled yesterday.

Any other national champ.games being played today? Must be very, very important game today for the home team. Just think adults are the ones who make these huge decisions to play a game in this weather.

Ohio is very unpredictable when it comes to weather.

However, this afternoon it is to warm up to 40 degrees and sunny. I am sure with the wind it doesn't feel this way. Teams have a set number of days to play 27 games. Some teams choose to play in all weather. In Ohio you pretty much have to. I am sure it's not a fun day for the parents to sit through, but take extra blanket, take extra jacket. Take gloves and hoodie. Maybe this was the only day the could play this team. I am sure many variable were weighed and many were in the decision.

The visiting coach can cancel if they feel its not safe or any type of danger to his or her girls is a possibility, cold and a little snow isn't reason enough.

It was enough for every team in southern Ohio to cancel. Only game played!!
