I didnt get to go to the game. I had to go to work unlike many of the Trimble posters on here. I talked to a few of my buddies that were there and I would say that my Lancers turned the ball over too many times. At one time the score was 7-6 Lancers and then the turnovers started. NY won, but I would not say my Lancers got pounded. WE WILL STILL WIN THE HOCKING!!!!!!!!
To me it looked like that outside of a few plays, FH could not stop NY. However, FH also had some success on offense, but were held a couple of times and turned the ball over twice that I remember.
Though, with the style of play FH plays, turnovers may be frequent. FH must run 15-20 plays to score, and with high school kids, there is bound to be a penalty, missed block (forcing them out of their comfort zone), or a turnover during that period of plays. They need to get Rex, Hatfield, and Nichols (who did not play in the scrimmage) to the outside for a shot at some longer gains. Less plays = less opportunity for mistakes. Everything was bunched up between the tackles, with some passes during 2nd/3rd and long situations. As of now, FH needs 15-20 straight snaps with near perfect play in order to score once.
If NY hammers Trimble, then FH is capable of winning the Hocking. If Trimble is as good as NY, then Trimble should handle FH.
Who cares about the Hocking. Maybe, in two years they can add a team from Carbon Hill and Zaleski. Our season is in our first five games. If we are 3-2 or better we could be in week 11. Hope we look good tonight at Athens!!!!
dilligaf if you knew the young man that got hurt last yr in the ny trimble game you would know that he played with all his heart and would never give in so trying to say it was the coaches it wasnt so back off.

Ok im not saying he didnt want to play or he did want to give in.Most players dont want to come out of the game.I just think when the game is well decided someone has to take the starters out.The startes are not going tell the coach to take them out. With that being said if Trimble gets the chance to score 100 on the buckeyes this year i hope they do lol.but their is always a risk of injury.I will be the first one to say when it all goes good im all for it but when it dont i start pointing fingers.thats the best part of being a fan i dont have to anser for anything that goes wrong in the game.I just set back and use the 20 20 hind sight.Just like most other fans do.
its was a 14 point game and trimble had just scored easily and ny got the ball back the game was far from over. accidents happen and that was a freakish thing.
1.Trimble 2.Federal Hocking-It will be close with them and Eastern.Tough start they might start 0-4 Monroe Central,Athens,Fort Frye, and Shenandoah. 3.Eastern will be alot better this year. 4.Waterford-Probably their worst team since 2000.Young should be good next season.Player to watch Levi Porter 5.Miller is horrible. They could not stop anyone for the Fort. 6.Southern
How do people even think eastern has a chance with the TVC hocking. Has Trimble ever not won TVC. As for Fed Hock fans/players your bigger than the rest of the schools much bigger and you still can't win the TVC why is that?

Uhhhhhhhhhhhh
FH won it in 2005 (split) and 2006 (outright).
As for why FH has struggled in the past: FH had not had a pee wee football program until recent times. Also, FH typically has a small roster. Not many kids go out, but they have been out in bigger numbers lately. Finally, FH is a shrinking D5 school that covers a large land area. There is also no central town. Everything is rural. This leads to long rides, few after school options, and thus the small rosters.
