No, we haven't had any news. We did have one lead, but it didn't pan out. I have a feeling we aren't going to get her back this time.

I know time is running out but i hope your dog is returned safe and sound. I hate losing my pets in any way and i know everyone else on Preps feels the same. There is still no better bond than the one between a boy and his dog, its something that goes back tens of thousands of years. Ill keep your dog and family in my prayers.

steve i just saw this , i'll be praying for you. i know what it's like i'm 48, and had pets all my life, i currently have 4 dogs , and 4 cats. i'd have commented sooner, i just noticed it, you may want to put a picture of her in the vets office there by lowes, thats where i take my pets. on a darker side , do you have any creeks or water holding places nearby. a dog that is old , and hurting will nearly always head for water for some reason, well, i'm praying you find her, and if you don't , after you've mourned . try an animal shelter for your next pet. i was at the lawrence county shelter 2 weeks ago, getting county tags for my 2 english mastiff pups, i just went in the back, just out of curiosity, and they had a beatiful 1 1/2 year old blue weineriemer, and a year old great white pyrennes-spelling, but i watch animal planet all the time, and many people are taking expensive dogs to pounds , loooking for homes , because of so many job cuts. i see from one of the pictures , that she was collered, so you all ready know. but all 4 of my dogs, have collars with tags that say their name on one side, and on the other it says,
---------tom osborne
---------i'm friendly
--------740-532-0097.
plus frontline has a getmehometag, that has a number , and you can log that in , on your computer. i really hope you find your loving pet. be praying for you. ytb.

Thanks everyone for the kind words, but it's been a month now and still no word on Ginger. We have had a couple of phone calls from people thinking they saw her, but when I checked it out they were dogs that looked like her, but not her. We have pretty much given up hope of getting her back this time and I just hope that if someone did take her that they are taking good care of her. She is a very freindly and loving dog and really liked to lay on my lap as I watched TV. We miss her a lot and always will, but I think we are going to get another puppy real soon. We had a lady call us last week and she said she had seen our flyers and that she had pups that were part Shitzu and part Cocker Spaniel and that she would give us one as soon as she took them to the vet and they were old enough and I think we are going to take one. It just proves that there good people out there.

YTB, unfortunately my wife had just given Ginger a bath the day before and had forgotten to put her collar back on. It too had all the pertinent info on it, but she wasn't wearing it. I have taken pictures around to the local Vets and I've been to the pound and called Sierra Haven a few times and no one has seen her.

Thanks again for everyones well wishes and support through all of this. My family and I really appreciate it.

Steve Valentine

I'm sorry to hear that you guys still have not found her. I had a dog when I was younger that ran away so I know what it feels like to lose a dog. I still hope you find her
