Ex-WWE wrestler found dead

Post by boogerred »

From WIKI:

On March 13, 2009, Andrew "Test" Martin was found dead in his Tampa Bay apartment. The cause of death has not been determined; however, police believe that foul play was not a factor. Police were called in after a neighbor reported Martin appearing motionless for several hours, with Martin being seen though a window outside of his apartment.

Andrew "Test" Martin (March 17, 1975 – March 13, 2009) was a Canadian professional wrestler. Under the ring name Test, Martin wrestled for World Wrestling Federation (later World Wrestling Entertainment) from 1998–2004, and 2006–2007. Most recently, he worked for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling under the ring name "'The Punisher' Andrew Martin". In 2005, Andrew Martin legally changed his name to "Andrew Test Martin" allowing him the rights to the name "Test" after his WWE contract expired.

While under contract with WWF/WWE, Martin enjoyed success as a singles competitor, becoming an Intercontinental Champion, European Champion and Hardcore Champion. Martin was also successful in the Tag team division, becoming a WWF and WCW World Tag Team Champion with Booker T.

Unfortunately, Test was one of those guys who were short on personality and charisma (at least character wise) and could not rely on his skills with the mike, so he had to use his physical presence to make it. This sometimes leads to the use of anabolic steroids to make the athlete even bigger.

I feel awful for him and his family; he was a midcard wrestler and was probably doing what he thought was best to keep a job.

R.I.P. Andrew Martin!

I'm sure many of his "Testicles" are in mourning right now.

R.I.P.

Uh, that sounds more like a "Moose-ism". You have not been hanging around with Moose, have you?

No to make him more marketable his manager Stacy Kiebler came up with a name for his fans and it was Testicles.

According to Wikipedia.......

His death would later be ruled as an accidental overdose of Oxycodone by the medical examiner's office in Hillsborough County, Florida.

You would thnk that after seeing what all of this crap does to each other....these guys (as well as other athletes) would smarten up. But I guess the term....DUMB JOCK explains it all

Actually the guy had a pretty serious back and neck injury. So the guy wasnt taking them to take them he was legitimatly hurt and needed the pain killers.

I doubt he overdosed by taking the recommended amount on the script. He probably was legitimately in pain. He probably just thought that if he took more, he could get back in the ring sooner. He probably just made a bad decision.
