How Justin Gail does not make your list is unbelievable to me... He would have been Ohio U's best running back on their team in 1995, but obviously didn't finish the season. Cosgrove from Logan played at Ohio U and he was very talented, but Gail was a different level than him.

I beg to differ. I watched both, and though they are different types of backs, I would still give the edge to Jo Jo. Jermon may have had more upside (hince going to OSU), but Jo Jo is the best I have seen in this area.

I think Jo Jo Parker is the best. Has blazing speed and can take tacklers on.

Jo Jo couldnt hold Jacksons jock. Nor was he better than Bobby Brice. Jo Jo was good but not great like those guys. Jermon put the team on his back many times at Ironton. Lutz played him as a freshman. That doesnt happen very much. :o When u need a big play call on Jackson! :122245

I watched Jo Jo put his team on his back twice against a very good Ironton team.

The year before I watched Jo Jo march his team through the division III playoffs before losing to a Van Wert team that they were much more talented then.

The Portsmouth 2001 team is one of the most talented teams I have seen in this area. They lost in the state semi-finals in division III. I was at that game, and Portsmouth was far and away the more talented team.

I could see the upside in Jermon, but Jo Jo was every bit as talented. Jermon was about 6 feet, and Jo Jo was pushing 5'7. That is the big difference I see in the two.

Jermon probably got about 15 carries a game when he played at Ironton. Could you imagine if he would have averaged 25 to 30 carries a game. He would have broken every stat in the book back in those days. :122248

Jermon Jackson is by far the best player I have seen in this area,Its not even close!I saw Brice play too and he wasnt even close to him either!Jermon was truly a big time player!Speed, size, elusiveness he had it all!The reason he only carried 15 times a game was because of all of the big plays he made!Plus I am sure there were alot of Ironton games back then that the second team was in most of the 2nd half!I agree though,2 totally different types of backs!

Earp, did you see Jo Jo play? I watched him march through a pretty good Chesapeake team in 2002, something along the lines of 300 yards and 5 touchdowns.

I have to say I am young compared to most on this board, but he is the best player I have ever seen Chesapeake play against.

I did see Jermon when I was young. My father told me to watch this kid because he was something special. He was good, it was against Belfre I believe. He was good, but I was just too young.

The first time i saw Jermon play was against Rock Hill his 8th grade year. He had 5 touchdowns all punt returns. Rock Hill had the ball at the start of the game and punted every time and Jermon ran them all of them back for touchdowns. he was amazing. He didnt have a great 40 time but i never seen him get caught from behind.

I saw Jo Jo Parker play many times,Probably more times than I saw Jermon play!Hey its just my opinion which probably doesnt mean much anyway!Bigtimehitter,The complete video of the Fairland vs Ironton game is in the coaches office in Fairland Stadium!Or last count I had it was in there,If not Coach Dinwiddie has a copy down in Raleigh!Coach D gets a penalty the first play of the game BTW,I constantly remind him of that! :lol:But anyway it is a Jermon Jackson highlight reel!He has about 280 and 4 tds in that game!

No biggy, I was just curious as to if you had seen him.

I have not seen Jason Harmon on many peoples list. He was a very good player as well.
