Re: Lakers vs Magic nba finals
Lakers easily if Orlando pulls another no-show like tonight.
Dwight Howard: 1-6 FG? Really?
Great job by LA.

Re: Lakers vs Magic nba finals
i see the magic winning 2 of 3 at home, going back to LA down 3-2 then winning game 6 to force a game 7, and anything can happen in a game 7
Re: Lakers vs Magic nba finals
If the officiating stays somewhat consistant with last night in Orlando (fair) then anything can happen but if games one and two officiating continues in LA then there is absolutely no way Orlando wins a game there. That is if it gets back to LA, Orlando filled it up last night, at least for the first 3 qtrs, Kobe had a subpar second half and the game was still close combined with skip playing very well.
I do think skip is the pg right now, Nelson is not in mental shape to play playoff basketball and seems to be a TO waiting to happen.
Last night was enjoyable to watch, not because I am a Laker hater but because it was officiated like playoff basketball should be and was without any bias at all. Those games in LA seemed scripted. Kobe is a great player, let him create plays, I think he is good enough to make things happen without gifts from the officials especially calling everytime he wants a call to be made or everytime it looks like any contact at all could be made. Sure they blew some calls last night especially with the out of bounds situations but they are human.
I do think the Lakers are the better team but the series should be 2-1 Magic right now if not for a game two officiating nightmare and a missed tip in. I wish Stern had the same no nonsense mentality with the officials that he has with the players.

Re: Lakers vs Magic nba finals
The Lakers owned the Magic in game 5 after the second quarter and the 16-0 run they went on. The Magic just couldn't seem to recover after that and the Lakers cruised to title #15 for the franchise and #10 for Phil Jackson.
Congrats to the Lakers and I'm looking forward to next season already.
Can you say back to back?

Lakers made this look too easy proving that the West was the best again.
