Re: IMO--Lebron falling short on the TRUE measure of greatness
question --you think Kobe has more around him than Bron has in Cleveland ? -- I don't think so. A much more proven coach , but not better players. Odom is old as heck, I never even thought Walton would make it in the league , Fisher has never been a star. Gasol is tough. not exactly a team of great talent. (except for Kobe) .

yes, kobe has alot more around him. he has proven guys. gasol(as much as i hate to say it) is an all-star, a puss but an all star none the less, fisher, mr clutch(how many rings does he have?) 3 or 4, odom who can play the 2,3 or 4 spot and can still take pretty much anyone one on one which he showed in game 2. odom just doesnt show up to every game(or he is afraid of kobe yelling at him for taking too many shots), if he did this wouldnt even be a series. walton may not show up in the box score alot but watch what he does for that team(hustle plays, tips, passes). he fits in nicely with the lakers. add to that farmaar and the sharpshooting vujacic, yeah thats definitely a better supporting cast. i didnt even mention bynum who is supposed to be great or least thats what the media portrays. arriza is playing out of his mind right now.
btw, fisher was an integral part of those shaq and kobe championships hitting clutch shot after shot. i take it you dont watch alot of bball?
compare that to ilgauskas(often injured), varajao(love his hustle), williams(a never was), and wally world. come on md, you're not that dense.

gasol is an all-star, odom (30 years old isnt that old) is one of the most atheletic and more complete players in the league - 6'10" can dribble shoot play inside and out... fisher a clutch shooting PG bynum is one of the NBA's centers of the future... Ariza has led the league in fast break points the last two years, and has drasticaly improved his shooting... lol u got to be kidding me... you need to watch some basketball cause what you say is obviously uneducated in the area you are trying to explain... lol what a joke...
Bron does have a good supporting cast, as much as i hate the Lake-show, i have to admit that Kobe has some good pieces around him...

I am DEFINITELY not a Lebron supporter but give him a break. You make it through the season with the league's best record, go 8-0 through the first two rounds, then get bounced in the conference finals and everyone expects him to be Stuart Smalley (go look it up). MJ was an arsehole of a person and a player. He came into the league in what-1983, and it took him how long to win a title? Give him a few years.

nope, just play alot of fantasy bball.
fisher has a child with a rare disease that he had to fly to l.a. alot to get treatment for it. utah let fisher out of his contract to sign with l.a. so he could be closer. actually it was a class act move by utah.

I agree that the Jazz did the right thing.
Fisher's always been a good community guy everywhere he's played.

ive never played any fantasy bball, and i knew that lol
and about the post asking how long it took MJ to win a title- 7 years, LBJ has only bene in the league 6... and MJ went to college, so bron could win the title at an earlier age than jordan

Very much so, along with 99.9% of the sports media, people I talk to in real life and appearantly everyone on this board. Lebron has also consistently deferred to his teammates and is already 2nd all time in assists for the Cavs behind Mark Price. The whole hand shake thing was way overblown mainly because up to that the worst thing had done was get a speeding ticket on the freeway a few years back.
